Just re-set the App -
Open the App
Hold down the power button until the slider appears
Hold down the home button (Don't use the slider) Until the App Closes
You might lose your place, but shouldnt be too hard to find it again...

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Reset the user password in OS X Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks
Reset 10.5 Leopard & 10.6 Snow Leopard password
1. Power on or restart your Mac.
2. At the chime (or grey screen if your chime is turned off), hold down Command+S on your keyboard to enter single-user mode.
3. This step is optional, but it’s a good idea because it checks the consistency of the hard disk before moving on. At the prompt, type fsck -fy and press Enter/Return. Wait for the checks to complete before going to the next step.
4. Type mount -uw / and press Enter.
5. Type launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.DirectoryServices.plistand press Enter.
6. Type ls /Users and press Enter. This lists all of the usernames on the computer – helpful if you don’t know or remember what these are.
7. Type dscl . -passwd /Users/username password and replace “username” with one of the users displayed in the previous step. Replace “password” with a new password of your choice. Press Enter.

I'm trying to help a widowed friend setup a printer with her imac. Her late husband bought the computer used and she doesn't have the system disk and doesn't know the password setup by him. She also needs to take some system updates that also require that password.

Hello, I have a very old username, an old e-mail, that I don't ahve anymore. When I tried to reset it it also did not take my birthday to verify the old account. I am not sure why. But I need to reset this old username and get a new password. Any ideas how to do that, since I can't find an option to have the new password creation link sent to a current email or a new email.

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

I need to reset a password for a game center account that does not have an email account associated with it. I keep getting a message that it has been disabled.

I need to restore my iPhone but it wont let me until i turn off the find my phone feature but the icloud account it makes me enter a password in i no longer ahve access to. So i need a way to either turn the feature off aother way or to reset that password.

Go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you need to reset the Admin password to your HP Officejet 4630 printer. I am happy to look into this for you! I would recommend to restore the network settings to the default settings: Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status
menu.Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless
Settings menu.Select Restore Defaults.Confirm the selection to restore defaults. You should then be able to login in with username: admin and the password is left blank. The easiest way to do it with the install disk. It is important to have the install disk so that you can run diagnostics and repairs on your computer. You can get the original disk that shipped with your computer by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753). Be sure to have the computer serial number or other information handy. There is a service charge of around $60. for this service.
To access the computer without the disk follow the directions for Making the Setup Assistant reappear. This will set up a new admin account with a new password. Once you have done this you can go in and access the old admin account or delete it.
