I have a iphone 3gs and it will not wi-fi sync

My i phone will not wifi sync. My wi-fi in my house is good. I have rebooted the wifi. I have it turned on in itunes. I have done a hard reset on my i phone. I dont know what else to do to get it to work. I have it pluged in a power sourse to sync and it dont show it in i tunes. Does any one know how to fix this?

Can you try to update it to 5.1 and see if that fixes it?

Last week I updated my iTunes, updated to iOS 5.0 and ever since I did this my phone has been going nuts. Any time I plug it into a charger I get a screen that tells me I need to connect to iTunes. I have had to restore it multiple times in order for it to work.
I've tried doing resets, restoring to factory-everything that I can find online to do. I've spoken with ATT tech support and done everything they've said to do regarding my greyed out wifi, my phone only working on 3G, and other issues.
The first iPhone 3GS I got had a defective camera, so ATT replaced it free of charge. I've had this one for a year, and quite frankly cannot afford a new one.
If anyone knows anything I can do to fix it, I would really appreciate it.

11.1 is now the most recent iTunes. Downloading it may take a bit since everyone got hit today with the need to update their iTunes on the very same day the iOS update came out and you have to update iTunes to update the iOS.
YOu should still be able to charge it without updating iTunes.

I have tried to restore it a total of 4 times but each time a message comes up saying that an error has occured. I need to restore the IPhone in order to use it in my daily life. If this does not work, try to delete the iphone software file located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates to make iTunes download a new copy when you connect in recovery mode. Maybe the file stored on your PC is damaged.

you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.

I have three e-mail accounts set up, two yahoo and a gmail. one of the yahoo accounts stopped downloading the mail for no reason. I deleted the account, shut off the phone, restarted it and added the trublesome account again without an improvement. I'm open to suggestions.

Have you contacted Yahoo customer or technical support?
If the problem were with your iPhone, none of the accounts would work.

I am using a pc with windows 7 and I also installed itunes, but when I want to sync it tells me that it can only sync to one computer, and that syncing would erase all the data on the ipod touch. I need to get pictures, videos and music off my ipod touch.

We added iMessage the them both and at first it was great, the messages appear in the text messages under the phone contacts and when I send a text message it will either be a green message or a blue one for (iMessage) depending on the signal. Now when my husband sends a text message to me I don't get them all or some days none. When I send him a text message he gets them from my email address. I cannot send him a standard text anymore my phone only wants to iMessage, so if the signal is not right it just sits there undelivered???

You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

The Apple genius at the Apple store told me this would work. It failed. Basically, updating your iPhone 3GS to iOS5 wipes your 3GS of its data so you can't really do this. Some data worked. Music, photos etc didn't work at all.
I suggest avoiding iCloud completely for a few weeks until Apple gets it working.
