When you share an iCloud account, any data you sync with the account is merged, and any actions you take on one device (such as deleteing contacts) is synced to all other devices sharing the account. To avoid this, each person's device(s) should have a separate iCloud account with a separate ID. (You can continue to share your iTunes account; it does not need to have the same ID as the one used for iCloud.)
To create separate icloud accounts, decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).
As for recovering the deleted contacts, you can try restoring her phone from her most recent backup. This may recover the contacts, however it often doesn't. Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If she have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that she wants to save she will need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

When I turned my Macbook on and signed in, it has been shutting down automatically and restarting itself immediately after opening the desktop. The error message said, I'd shut down my computer unexpectedly. How can I get it to stop shutting down on me?

Since downloading OS X Mavericks, my computer has been shutting down midway of starting up. Please help! The problem began after downloading the software free update. Now when I start my computer, it will starts up normal but when the desktop appears, there will be an error message that I shut down my computer because of an error and if I would like to open the applications that were open before the sudden shut down I should press continue. Then when I select continue, it will open up another communication window that my computer is restarting because of an error. Then the screen will revert to shutting down and restarting again. Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...

3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

The iPhone can shut down by itself when the battery is too low. Don't know if you have a malfunction that is running continuously and as such draining the battery ...or if you just have a warn out battery.

My new iMac has been shutting down abruptly the past week and after that I have to wait several minutes to try and see if it will turn on. Macbook Pro has been shutting down unexpectedly

My MacBook Pro (retina 15 inch) OS X Yosemite, which had been very stable since purchased in late 2013 has been shutting down unexpectedly in recent weeks. Sometimes it's caused by Excel or Quicken, other times, it's a mystery. And the whole computer crashes, not just a program. What could be causing this recent behavior?

Old school with CS2. Haven't used in a while and am unable to use the program as it says my serial number is invalid. Customer service tells me the server for CS2 has been shut down. Then they sent me here for help. Does anyone have any advice?

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

So there I was just on facebook page through my iPod when it just shut down. I try to turn it on, but it didn't work. I tried to charge it but it wouldn't charge either. What should I do? What do you think is wrong?

My iPhone shuts off randomly and doesn't turn back on until i plug it into a power source?

every 10 or so minutes my iphone will shut off, never while im using it, only when i put it down or in my pocket and when i try to turn it back on i get no response until i plug it into power, when i do that the device restarts. any one else have this problm?

I have an iphone 3 and the same problem. Some of the 2008 posts on a similar title suggest a restore. I need to save all of my 700+ photos somewhere before I attempt that process.

I have a iPhone 4 and lately it has been shutting down randomly when I still have battery left. It also doesn't turn back on, until I plug it in to the charger. But when I plug it in, the low battery sign shows up then comes to the lock screen with 68%.
