I have a Iphone 42 and want to transfer my photos to my PC why does my computer not recognise the Iphone when I connect it to the pc?

Can any help. I want to transfer photos on my Iphone 4s to my PC, my computer will not recognise the phone when I connect via the USB port to the PC. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Do you get any response from the computer when you plug the phone in? I'm guessing that you are going into Computer to see if you find the phone? If you go into Device Manager, do you see any errors in the USB area?

You can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

First organize your photos on your laptop. If it's a Mac you can use iPhoto. If your laptop is a PC then create one master photo folder and inside that folder place other folders containing Photos where each folder will become a photo album. Do not nest additional folders inside the album folders.
Then start iTunes 11.1 or later on your computer. If you do not have iTunes search apple support for it. The download will be free.
Connect your iPad to your laptop.
Select your iPad in iTunes on your laptop.
Select the Photos tab in the main window.
You can navigate to the main photo album and choose to sync all photos or you can select those albums you want copied to the iPad.
Finally click on Apply or Sync.

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

Something you need to understand. Unless you are using the latest version of Photoshop Elements, it's possible that some of the adjustments that you make in Lightroom won't transfer to Elements if you choose the option to open anyway. If you choose the option to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments then Lightroom will create a TIF or PSD file (depending on your preferences), and that file will include all of the adjustments that you have made using Lightroom. Then you can finish your work in Photoshop Elements.

It has to be used to interpret the Lightroom adjustments and apply those adjustments to the image after it has been converted. OM gosh! After working on this for 2 days, by golly, I got it! I used Free App DVD Creator. I had first tried to burn the disc in PAL Format.....wrong format for the good 'ol USA. After a little research I learned that the USA format is NTS.....so I chose that and it worked! I now have a disc I can play on our dvd player on the TV. Thanks all for above assistance. Problem now solved!

You can search within your music folder on your pc, or within documents folder for a music folder.
In any case, you would need to sync with itunes
