I have an iPhone, and IPad. I just got a iPod. I want to create a new apple ID for the iPod so I can access face time and messages separately. However can I use the same credit card account?
Just do it. You can use the same credit card for multiple accounts.

My brother and I have shared an account for five years, and now that I'm moving out, I want to create my own separate account but still want to be able to play the music I've purchased over five years.
In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so. You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to. Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

Hello, i´ve a problem, i´ve bought an iphone 5s and when i try to log in Icloud i´ve a error. The error is that this iphone have created the maximum quantity of free acounts... Dont want to create a new account, just want to log in.
Then don't choose the option to create a new iCloud account. Choose the option to log in with your existing account.

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can have more than one iTunes account on the same PC. I've just bought my wife an iPad2 and want to create a separate account for her. Can I do that on the same PC as mine? Thanks.
I would advise that you not set up a second Apple ID. It's really not necessary - having two Apple IDs won't affect how iTunes works with your iPads - and will just complicate matters. Each iPad will be treated independently and can be set to sync only the items you want on that particular iPad. If you really want to keep the two iPads separate, set up different iTunes libraries and have only those items you want on the related iPad in that library, rather than a different Apple ID. If you plan not to use a computer and just download directly to the iPads, you can again choose what apps and content each iPad gets.
But answering your specific question, you can have content from up to five iTunes Store accounts on any one computer or iPad. To create a new iTunes Store account, you'll need a different email address, and from there you just create the account the same way you did the first one.

I just recently purchased a mini iPad for my child. It was set up in the Apple store with my Apple id. I now want to create an Apple id for my child and switch it over, how can I go about that. I already downloaded some of the games from my account.
With a new account, you'll need to rebuy the games.
Each user should have their own icloud account, otherwise they end up getting the same emails, contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc. - usually not what you want. But if all have been sharing the same itunes ID, keep it that way, you can have different IDs for itunes and icloud.
If you already have another icloud account, and want to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud. Then enter the account ID that you want to use.
To create a new icloud account, go to

I have one icloud id on my mac and want to share photos, calendars, etc with an ipad with a different icloud id. if I create a new id for both of us will this work? My concern is losing data on either device. (the mac book pro is new, but has all of the retrieved data from my previous mac book pro)
You will lose data from whichever was the 2nd to last to sync .
Don't do it. -
We have always used one iTunes account and I want to crate a new account for my daughter. What is the best way to go about this and will she need to download free apps again?
Not going to happen the way you want it to.
When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. -
if i have an Apple account with monay in it and i want to creat a new account can i transfer the money from the old account to the new account ?
If the money contains a completely unspent balance from an iTunes gift card, the iTunes Store staff can put that money back onto the card.

I know my Apple Id (it isn't ".mac") and password but I can't log on to ichat. I keep getting a message of password not matched. I saw somewhere that my Apple id is the same as my ichat account. Do I need to create a new account for Ichat? I've already reset my Apple id password 3 times in the last 2 days. What am I doing wrong?
Hi,
At one time only Email IDs from Apple (when it was just @Mac.com) were referred to as "Apple IDs"
Other IDs such as to log in to Discussions were know as Discussion IDs
Things like the Online Store and iTunes and Apple realising that people would prefer one ID to have access to Everything tended to move things together.
There can be a variety of combos now

@mac.com before MobileMe
@mac.com post MobileMe

Why do I get this message every time I travel with my laptop and then return home: "To improve reliability, Time Machine must create a new backup for you."
I get this on my new MacBook Air, but never got it on my old MacBook Pro.
Thanks!See #C13 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

hi, i was on 1 i cloud account shared with my family, and now i created a new account for my self, is there anyway i can transfer or share all contacts from 1 account to another?
No. All iTunes purchases are forever tied to the account used to make the purchase.

Sorry about the long title, but that's the info I need
If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the phone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

Can I Cancel my Current Apple ID and Create a New One for my iPod Touch?
Hello. I'm new to Apple products. I just bought a 5th Generation iPod Touch and am quite happy with it so far.
I created an Apple ID for it, but used an all-purpose e-mail address with it. I have my own domain, and would like to create a new e-mail account specifically for the Apple ID. (I didn't think about this at the time I created the Apple ID. It was an afterthought.)
So, I was wondering if I could either cancel my current Apple ID and start from scratch with a new e-mail address, or can I just configure the Apple ID and change the e-mail address?
Is this possible? If so, which is the most practical way of doing this? Thank you very much. JdOops, I realized I posted this question in the iPhone section by mistake. Is it possible to delete this message and re-post it over in the iPod Touch section?
My apologies for this mistake. Jd -
I have 4 devices ... currently 3 of the are all attached to my personal itunes/email account. Just got another device - ipod touch 5 - that is my son's and I want for him to have his own account so that we are no longer sharing text messages, contacts, etc.
I want to create a new itunes account for me but still be able to share my music library with him. How do I do this? appreciate the help.See:

For years I have relied upon Appleworks for my simple database issues but have not hit a snag. The nature of the data I am now storing requires large numbers of characters to be stored in a single field. Appleworks has a character limit of approx 500

Itunes re-syncs my whole library everytime
Nearly everytime I dock my ipod, itunes re-syncs everything. All 4500 songs. Why? It never did it before. I've restored my ipod and updated it. Still does it. I don't know what to do.
