i have an ipod 1st generation that i recently factory reset, when I turn it on it says (itunes symbol <-- USB cord) as if i should sync with a usb to my computer to itunes... i did that and nothing happens- my itunes is not showing it all, there isnt a device button like with my iphone. My computer (PC) does recognize that i plugged it in with the USB bc i can pull it up in "This PC"
You should also know that it (the ipod) hasnt been updated system wise in years... so i dont know if that means anything... HELP ME!

If you had been syncing notes on your iPod with iCloud before this happened, go to icloud.com and confirm that your notes are still there. If they are, you could either email them to yourself one at a time from icloud.com or you could sign into your icloud account on your other iPad in Settings>iCloud and turn Notes to On to sync them to your other iPod.

I am trying to determine if it can be used to recieve and send email while in Istanbul as well as get on Skype. This is an iPod shuffle 3rd gen? I realize this forum category is for the shuffle, but sometimes people post in the wrong category, so I want to confirm your iPod is not a 3rd gen iPod "classic" or 3rd gen iPod nano...
Assuming it's a 3rd gen shuffle (the one with no control buttons on the shuffle), are you using the USB cable that came with it? There are third-party replacement cables that will fit, but if it's made for the 2nd gen shuffle, it will not work with a 3rd (or 4th) gen shuffle. The connector is different.
