You need to use an Airprint-enabled printer in order to print natively from the iPad. Unfortunately, no Kodak printers are on the list:

Kodak offers an app that might get around this:

Otherwise, you can try a universal printing app, like Print N Share or Print Central from the App Store.

The HP ePrint Home & Biz app, which is a free download from the App Store, supports many "legacy" printers, so it should work for you.

If the printer has WiFi, Kodak has an app in the iTunes Store that allows printing to at least some of their WiFi-equipped printers. Third-party printing apps such as PrintCentral are also available. All such apps have limitations, so check them out thoroughly before you pay for any such app.
For other printers, you can route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia would be worth a look. Fingerprint is another option that is available for both Mac OS X and Windows system. You could also consider an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

Hi. Here is the list, and there are no kodak printers on it. The low end hps are well under 100. (at least they were when i got mine) and work pretty good. Can you return the kodak?

Yes, the error message is exactly like that ("Database error: failured to persist version")
No photos will import at all. I use USB to import from iPhone 5s or iPad 2.
About the difference? iPhoto and Photos . Are there two softwares?
I also will like to merge and/or synchronize all my photos I had saved to iCloud backups, Macbook Pro, iPhone 5s and iPad hard drives using iPhoto. It's call iPhoto library. At one point I turned off streaming.

Not with the built-in AirPrint print function. However, you can download free and cheap print apps that can provide some (limited) printing abilities. HP's iPrint is one of those.

I have a Airport Extreme. USB from printer to the router. How do I turn on AirPrint so I can print from my iPad too?

I have a brand new iMac. I also have a brand new Airport Extreme. I have a cannon MG6320. I have the printer contected to the Airport Extreme. It works fine from my iMac.
