I have a KT4V (MS6712) running version 1.0 BIOS (never updated). I tried an ATI Radeon 9600XT a couple of days ago. The system and display went nuts. I figured the card was DOA, but I have since reaad on this board that a newer version of the BIOS was to fix the ATI 9600 problem. Should I try to update my BIOS to run this card since I need to update my system.

There is no way for you to install it in Photoshop CS4. The message you are receiving means that you need Camera Raw 8.6 to have full compatibility with Lightroom 5. But in that message you are given the option to edit a copy that includes the Lightroom adjustments. That is the option that you should use. Lightroom will create a copy (PSD or TIF, depending on your choice in Lightroom preferences) and will send that copy to Photoshop CS4. Then you can use Photoshop and all of its features to continue editing your image. When you close and save the image in Photoshop, it will appear in your Lightroom folder along with the original raw file.
Another option you could use would be to use the free Adobe DNG converter to create DNG (digital negative) copies of your raw files. Those DNG files would be compatible with the Photoshop that you have now. Your other option would be to upgrade your Photoshop. -

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

You can use iCloud to sync something's between the two devices. Stuff like contacts and calendar entries come to mind. For most content though, getting the same items on each device entails that iTunes on a computer be used to store the content and then syncing each device to the computer running iTunes.

Normally an Elements purchase is good for both platforms. You should only need to download and install the Mac versions of the programs and install and activate them using the serial number you have from the opriginal purchase.
