  • I have HP 2000 notebook pc. i cant play dvd's help please

    thank you vlc is working!

Hi, Hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run box type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In the Device Manager window, expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives, right click the drive and select Properties - on the General tab, is there an error code showing in the Device status box? If there is an error, post back with the message. If everything looks Ok in Device Manager, try installing VLC on the following link. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.en_GB.html Regards, DP-K

  • Is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?

    Dear HP Support,
it looks like that the motherboard of my compaq 620 energy star notebook doesn't support virtualization technology, even though replace the processor with one with virtualization feature, my notebook still can't have virtualization feature. moreover it is said the CPU socket type of notebook is soldiered to the motherboard, so the processor of notebook can't be replaced. if this is the case, it seems that i can't replace the processor of my notebook.
am i correct? is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?
    thanks,
    q.s.

The processor can be upgraded; it is socketed. However, virtualization must be implemented in the motherboard and BIOS and without that, upgrading the processor will do no good. Which processor do you have?
    Here is the Service Manual:
    Manual
See page 120....virtualization is possible on some models but I am going to assume only the models with a Core2 Duo processor. Celeron and Pentium Dual models use a different chipset on the motherboard so even if you put in a Virtualization capable CPU it would not work.

  • Sound Blaster Live External 24bit vs. Compaq 6735b

    Hello guys,
I recently bought a new laptot Compaq 6735b with Vista installed on it. I dont like Vista so I installed my original XP home OS. When I connect my usb SB Li've external to it,? the sound crackles. I already tried updating all the drivers, but nothing heplped.
Do you have any idea that could help. I would be very grateful because I am going to DJ on my niece wedding and it has to be solved... Thank you in advance
    Pudi

    ?Hi Pudi,
MS USB audio class driver is the driver that gets loaded for any USB audio device by default if you did not install any drivers that is provided by the vendor (in this case, Creative). To try this, you can do a full uninstallation of creative software for the Sound Blaster Li've External 24bit, then connect the hardware to your laptop again after that. The driver that will be loaded at this time would be the MS USB audio class driver. If you know how to look at driver publisher in device manager for the Sound Blaster Li've External 24bit, then you can also check that the publisher of the driver is Microsoft and not Creative if everything goes well.
Once you managed to do this, if you still have the same problem, then I would think that it is a compatibility problem with your laptop. For such cases, you can try to use a self-power USB hub in between the sound card and your laptop. This might help.

    Hello k877
I am sorry to hear you are having issues reinstalling your operating system. I am providing you with a link here to a document titled Recovery Disk Creation Error Codes (Windows 7). Now document is for creating the recovery disks but the error is showing up in your error log (0xe0ef002f). The error according to the document is the File/directory does not exist. It looks like a function call Deploy() is attempting to access this File/directory and is unable to.
This leads me to think that it is the disks that you are using. It would stand to reason anyways as you state you have tried this on multiple hard drives. A good test would be to check to see if your error in the error log is the same every time. If it is happening at the same point each time then simply order a new set of discs from here.
I hope this resolves your installation issue. Thank you for posting your question on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Laptop/Notebook Optimized for Active Camerawork & Onlocation??

I've searched the internet, called Adobe customer service and then contacted their pc partner Dell to find that there is no known laptop/notebook currently optimized for shooting video directly to Onlocation.
I can't be the only video camera operator who is considering buying Onlocation to go direct to disc while walking and moving. The machine Dell gave me a quote on was over 6lbs (not light.) I guess I'll need to carry it on my back in a backpack, which seems like it would probably cause the computer to overheat. And can the hard drive reliably save my video when I'm moving around?
Does anyone know of a lightweight laptop/notebook that would reliably perform for an active cameraman? It seems like Adobe or some savvy company should have a machine optimized for the job (along with a decent way to strap it on?)
    Feedback is greatly appreciated.

  • HP Envy 15 Laptop Notebook Windows 10 Black Screen After Boot

Hello, My issue invloves my laptop notebook which is the HP Envy 15, Product Number: A9P60UAR#ABA. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from my Windows 7 and experienced issues involving very long boot times to load to the log in screen and then all I see before I get to the login screen is a completely black screen with no curser for over a minute on average. I used to be able to load to the log in screen in an average time of 10 to 30 seconds with Windows 7.  After I log into my pc and reach my desktop I tried to put my pc in sleep mode and then try to wake up from sleep mode and then the black screen that happened when I booted my computer happened for about a minute to two minutes before I was able to see the log in screen, usually with my computer completely skipping the password requirement.  This issue is quite agrivating and I have reverted back to Windows 7 sinse this began to happen. I am willing to upgrade back to Windows 10 because I am able to revert back to windows 7 easily. Im not sure if I can fix this issue at this point in time with the lack of updates for drivers with my laptop some how or if others are experiencing the same problem.  If there is more information required to help I will be glad to help with the information. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

    Well..
I found my own solution, for anybody interested:
Now, I am not entirely sure if the video driver crashing is related, because it is working fine now.
But, what I did was hit F8 at boot, went to Windows recovery tools area, and ran system restore to a restore point created by Revo Uninstaller before it uninstalled the AOL Registry files, and it booted up fine.
My thinking, and probably everyone else reading this, is that when it uninstalled the AOL registry files, it must have caused some sort of problem? I scanned the Revo Uninstaller (and the crack I downloaded from PirateBay) with AVG before I even used it, and there was no virus, trojans, malware etc, etc. It was clean. So I don't think it was a virus or anything of that sort. My only thinking is that it must have uninstalled something it shouldn't have, causing Windows to stop functioning.
Don't think it was a RAM problem, because I first booted with my old 1GB module (after the restore) and it booted fine, powered down, and put my 2GB in, and it is working fine. Although I am running off of AC power right now - my battery isn't attached. That is the last variable left untested. I will most certainly post again if something goes wrong when I put my battery in.
I hope you guys want to discuss this, and maybe this will help someone else who has this problem, although mine seems pretty unique.

  • If I have 2 laptops can I use my account on both?

I have a laptop and I'm thinking about getting a netbook. Now I know you can only use one computer for downloading everything to the iPods but can I just download Apple iTunes to a netbook and purchase off my same account and download some music and movies just to keep on the netbook. I wouldn't be wanting to transfer it to my iPod Touch. I would just like to have a few songs and a couple movies on the netbook. I hope you understand what I'm asking.

yes, you can authorise up to 5 (i think) computers to use one itunes account.
