I have a Lexmark Z705 printer. When I click Properties on the printer dialogue box i get error message "Prop Res DLL not loaded." This only for web pages using Firefox.
no more to add
Copy '''LXBCPRP.DLL''' to the following location: '''C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 '''

I print shipping labels through Paypal, I want to print just in black ink, but when I use the Lexmark properties to change the printing to just black, getting message Prop Res DLL not located. Spent some time with Lexmark Chat to try and find out what I needed to do to fix this. As they walked me through a couple of things to try, one was to go to Internet Explorer, found I could do the necessary printing, with no problems of getting that error message. So it appears the problem is with Firefox 4.3

Surprising that Lexmark wasn't aware of a problem with their drivers that is not exactly new, or restricted to Firefox. <br />

Why do I get error message "Prop Bitmap DLL not loaded" when I try to print Adobe documents?
When trying to print either images or text from Adobe format I receive the above error when using Mozilla firefox as my browser. i f I use Internet Explorer as browser I do not have any problems printing from Adobe.
I recently updated to Firefox 9 and every time I try to print something in draft form from an email (like a confirmation of an order I placed on a website) I get the Prop Bitmap DLL Not Loaded message. I never got that message with the 3.6 version of Firefox so it is very annoying and starting to irritate me. I print most of my things in draft form to save using up the ink in the cartridge. I have a Dell 924 printer. I uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it but that didn't help the problem. I'm not computer savvy so I don't know how to fix the problem.

I don't know that much about computers so please make it simple as I'm not that literate when it comes to complex computer fixes. thanks

Here's a Firefox bug that was filed a few months ago. <br />

Looks like a problem caused by Lexmark print drivers doing a strange installation (Lexmark makes some of the Dell branded printers). Mozilla isn't going to revert the way Firefox looks for print drivers due to security concerns.

When printing an email & selecting printer properties window to change printing color, error message is displayed. "Prop Res DLL not loaded." Never had this problem until 4 months ago. Lexmark tells me it is a Firefox problem, not a printer problem.
Seemed to occur after a Firefox update?See this [http://www.google.com/search?q=Prop+Res+Dll+not+loaded&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Google search] for a "fix".

Firefox 4. crashes on Print request - "prop res DLL not loaded" - Why?
Happens with every Print request to Lexmark 5100. Brother printer works OK.
It doesn't matter which web site. It will always crash as above. If I request the property sheet for the printer, that is when the DLL not loaded box comes up.
With prior 3. versions the printer works, and will work if I restart Ver 3. and then print (without re-booting the machine)See this support thread: <br />

An attempt to change the "Properties" options prior to printing on my Lexmark X5150 causes the message. Same does not occur if I do the same under Internet Explorer.
I have tried creating the profile again and still get the same problem. The problem is machine based and not user based.
Hi GG1234,
If you recreated the Outlook profile and still got the same problem, please try to recreate the Windows Profile:
Log on to client using local admin account->rename the profile folder under c:\users.
By the way, did you try to print the mails in OWA?

My printer is a Lexmark Z705.
I just had the same problem w/ a Lexmark X1185. MicroSoft web site gave me this that worked:
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Copy the printer driver files to the System32 folder
To copy the printer driver files to the System32 folder, follow these steps:
In Windows Explorer, locate the following folder:
drive:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86\3
Press and hold CTRL, and then click each printer file.
Note Each printer driver file has a file name that resembles the following:
lx**prpb.dll
lx**prpr.dll
dl**prpb.dll
dl**prpr.dll
Note ** is a two-letter designation that is associated with the printer.
With the printer driver files selected, right-click the files, and then click Copy.
In Windows Explorer, locate the following folder:
drive:\Windows\System32
Right-click the System32 folder, and then click Paste. -
Program won't print: "Error Prop Res DLL Not Loaded"
Mine is a fully legitimate copy of InDesign, but this error message appears when I try to print to my printer. If I swat the message a dozen times, the printer then prints a blank page.
Try following the guide from the Microsoft Support page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918730. Just update the path environment variable to point to the folder where the printer drivers are installed, restart Indesign and test if it workes.
Here's the exact text from that page:
Let me fix it myself
To update the Path environment variable, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click Environment Variables.
Under System variables, click the Path variable, and then click Edit.
Press END to move the pointer to the end of the path.
Type a semicolon (;), and then type the path of the printer driver file.
On a computer that is running a 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows, type the following default path: C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32X86\3
On a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows, type the following default path: C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\X64\3
For example, after you update the Path variable on a computer that is running a 32-bit version of Windows, the path would resemble the following: %SystemRoot%\System32;%systemroot%;C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32X86\3
Click OK to close the Edit System Variable dialog box.
Click OK to close the Environment Variables dialog box.
Click OK to close the System Properties dialog box.
If this doesn't work try method 1 in the guide.
Good luck.
