Isn't everything that is on the iPod still on your computer?
If not, try YamiPod or other 3rd party software to recover your files from your iPod, then look for a new one or you can send it to a 3rd party to have it evaluated and repaired, such as http://www.iresq.com.
You can use Google to look for other repair sites or software.
