I have a desktop computer- MAC. When I am looking for information or pulling up games for my grandkids, it will say I need to download the latest version of dobe Flash Player to view. I have downloaded this numerous times yet it still does not allow me to view. What am I doing wrong?

Could be the OS X version is too old for the later recommended Flash player version.
So this is where knowing what your computer really is, and the exact OS X version running in it. There is a hardware limit to upgrading the OS X in a PowerPC Mac with a ceiling of OS X 10.5.8 at the latest. This also limits the upgrade to a later version Adobe Flash player.
If the computer is not an older PPC-based Mac, and instead has an Intel core-duo or core2duo, an upgrade to OS X 10.6.8 is possible through purchase of the retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD and after installation, run Software Update to get the 10.6.8 Combo update v1.1 for Snow Leopard. This will not work on a PowerPC based Mac.
Should the computer be able to run a later OS X, a newer Player could be installed.
If the ceiling as suggested above be the case, and the workaround possible.
The question posed by Klaus is a minimal request for basic info.

I have the same problem as Pam101. I am on OS X 10.9 and Safari 7 (actually on 2 iMacs). The one iMac is fine but the other with the same versions and settings Adobe Reader will not work. What happens is the Adobe Reader icon appears on the dock, bounces once and that's it. When trying to open a .pdf file from a website a new tab is opened on Safari, the background is black and there is a pop up message (black test on a white background) that reads: "Adobe PDF Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement." This is all very well but if Adobe Reader will not launch how on earth is it possible to accept the End User License Agreement terms? Very, very annoying, especially since it all works just fine if I launch a .pdf file from a website using Chrome. The red exclamation mark indicates that itunes cannot find your files.
Are the music files still on your harddrive. Look n Finder
Username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media
If the files are there then keep the option key pressed and open iTunes. A dialog box will open asking you to choose your library. Select Choose and then navigate to the Music/iTunes Folder and click OK

I asked because an awful lot of people have recently been confused between downloading the Cloud and the perpetual versions of Lr - although I'm not automatically assuming your'e guilty of this - and can't understand why their serial no won't unlock their new software.
If the wrong version has been installed, then it must be uninstalled and the right one downloaded.

And go to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the PDF Browser plugin to the Trash.
Quit Safari, empty the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. You should be able to view PDF files now.

Open System Preferences > Displays > select the window for you external monitor > click on the Arrangement tab and check the box next to Mirror Displays. It may be slightly different in Lion, but the idea is the same.

Some websites do not display properly. I am getting overlapping of menu's. This does not happen with IE. What am I doing wrong?

I log on to the same wesite on Mozilla and IE. On mozilla the left hand menu overlaps one over the other but the same does not occur with IE, I ask this as I prefer mozilla. If you increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Interesting. May have uncovered a bug. It seems that limited duration events will display, but all day events wont on mine. (iPhone 5). Does that compare to what you are seeing (unfortunately, I have nothing in a subscribed calendar until the week end, so difficult to check. I do seem to recall seeing an event from one this past week end on the iPad, however).
