When a virus infects a Windows PC one of the first things it does is mine the PC's e-mail address book. It will then send out e-mails containing itself to addresses in the address book using another address from the address book as the sending address.
The only way you can tell where the e-mail comes from is to look at the long headers. In Mac Mail View>Message>Long Headers.
So it probably wasn't sent from your Mac but from a PC who has both your addresses in his mail .

You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button. -
I just purchased a MacBookPro after having a MacBook. I have ILife, IWorks and Office for Mac. How do I get those programs on to my MacBook Pro? I will still use my MacBook at work so I need those programs to remain on it as well.
You need a Firewire cable to run between the two Macs. Using Utility>Migration Assistant running on your new MacBook Pro, transfer what you want (with all the preferences and such) from your MacBook to your MBP. Here's more info from Apple.
You might have an issue with the Serial number for Office, but hopefully you have that around.

sure. Seems like a lot of trouble to get your data onto

I have a MacBook Pro. My mac can detect wifi. But will not connect anywhere. I did get connected via TCP/IP settings but I can't connect to any wifi anywhere. Network diagnostic has a green light for wi-fi and wi-fi settings. Red light for the rest. (Network settings, ISP, Internet and server.)

i already reinstall the software many times and still the same i dont know what is happening is there is somebody who can help me please im will waitingThere are any number of possibilies... you could have problems with runaway applications, causing your machine to overheat and setting the fans off, you could have bad fan sensors, etc.
Open Activity Monitor (Applications>Utilities) and see if you have any apps that may be hogging the CPU. Call back.

I have a MacBook and I am unable to successfully update Firefox. I click "Update Firefox" and it's starts updating but never completes the process. I sometimes leave it for hours and it's still updating! It's almost as if something is blocking it ffrom completing the process. Please helpNext time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. I would suggest you upgrade your computer's OS minimally to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.

It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

I have a macbook and I just upgraded to Lion, downloaded the new software for Itunes and added a gmail account in addition to my existing aol account. Altho both mail systems are visible in my mail account I'm no longer receiving emails from either account. I checked the mail doctor and both accounts are connected to the server, but I can't figure out why I'm not receiving emails any longer. I'm trying to clean-up my stuff before I add my new Iphone, but I must admit all of this is rather daunting. Also does anyone know when tech support is available? it must be PST cause no one is there at 8AM EST!

It isn't the fw in Network you want o use or look at, that's for something completely different.
My first suspect is the Power Adapter on the LaCie has gone.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware>Firewire, what is listed there?
Reset the Firewire bus
If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
3. leave it for 10 minutes.
4. Connect back up and reboot.
