I have a Macbook early 2008 version, I see the new OS will not run on my computer? Why is this and can I fix it?
Is there anything I can do to update my Macbook to OS Mountain Lion or am I at the last operating system?
It's because your hardware does not have a 64-bit EFI boot ROM. There is no fix except to sell your computer and buy a newer model that is compatible:

If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:

The Elements 12 Mac disk works fine - I also have a Dell, and the Windows disk will not run at all, sounds like it's grinding, and is almost impossible to remove from the hard drive. I cannot find any place to tell me who to CALL to ask for a replacement!

You can use a download instead of the disk as an alternative: Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe you can license with your serial
Please test the disk in another windows machine to check if it's caused by the drive or the disk. If you tested with 2 drives please start a support case, i assume Adobe will only provide downloads at this point. They are the same as the trials. If you still need a disk you can burn the trial to a disk as a backup disk. Good luck! -
I have a copy of Web Premium CS3 which was installed on a Windows Vista PC. I have a new Windows 7 PC and the installation disc will not run properly. The installation begins and then asks for the CS3 disc to be inserted. If I re-insert the CD I just get a message asking for the disc to be inserted. any ideas anyone?

I have windows 7 64 bit but the new itunes will not install because it can't find itunes64.msi. I have searched evertwhere on my pc. In addition, I can't uninstall the itunes and reinstall for the same reason. I can't upgrade for my icloud account.
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update

Need to know your Mac model. If it's a PowerPC, the max OS is Leopard 10.5.x. If it's an Intel procesor, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (for $29) & later to Lion.

I have to wipe my computer clean as I have a corrupted file some where, I was wondering if I will lose all my keywords if i do this and what should I do to pervert this.
Keywords are stored in the catalog. Just be sure your catalog(s) is backed up as well as all you image files before reformatting the drive.

my apple id account has been disabled for security reasons. I have re-set my password numerous times but the system still will NOT let me sign in. It continues to say your account has been disabled.

1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) let them know and they will helo you enable the account. even if you change the password 50 times the account will stay disable till you call them

I was given this laptop from my sister. When she was showing me how to use the computer she was unable to go on the internet using Firefox. She also had Safari installed so we went on using that. We found the version of Firefox as 10.4.11. I use firefox on my PC and would like to use on the laptop also. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how the remedy the situation?

My MacBook Pro 2.33GHz cannot see the New Airport Extreme
Just bought the new Airport Extreme(Wireless N). Power it up, cannot see the new wireless network under the Airport signal icon. The Machine have no problem using my older Netgear wireless router(G) and the new Linksys Wire router(N). Just connot see the new Apple Airport Extreme.
My the other two iMac(G5 and Intel) 20" can see all three wireless network and connet to them without any problem.
My only question is has Apple implement any "regional code" on the hardware. My MacBook Pro is from US and the new Airport Extreme was bought in New Zealand.
Any suggestion? BTW a clean install of the System didn't help. Found out after 2-3 hours of installation of System and all my Application back.To use the Airport Utility you must select your network under that Airport icon but you can't. So what to try? Of course you may need to reset your router. If still not visually seen under Airport then go to system preferences/network/status and choose Airport. Look for the preferred drop down menu. If network is seeen then select it and hit apply. Then select under Airport icon then use the Airport Utility. If not seen in preferred then type in your network exact name or use the + button. The above will work you just need to keep trying.
