I have a MacBook. I cannot reboot or shut down because I am getting the message: "Preparing to move to trash." I have no idea what to do. Has anyone else ever gotten this message or do you know what to do. Thanks.

Click the (x) circle button on it. If that doesn't work, then unplug from power.

When playing a video I have downloaded from iTunes I get the message "This Movie Cannot be played on this machine". The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle -
I'm having problems installing OS X update 10.9.2. Twice I have tried to install, and both times I get the message - Update could not be verified. Can anyone advise ?
Are you updating from the App Store when you get that error message?
If so, thry using the 10.9.2 Combo update -> http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726.

1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button
Install Adobe Flash Player.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Follow the prompts. Quit Safari.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy
Press the button “ Remove All Website Data”. -
I've tried to download an app that I used to have but deleted. I get the message "You've already purchased this, so it will be downloaded now at no additional charge." BUT it won't download.
Are you certain you have enough memory left on your device to accommodate the app? Also, are you certain that an iOS 8-compatible version has been released by the developer? If the answer to both questions is "yes", then try downloading it via an iTunes sync.

I can no longer use Pandora because I get a message saying download adobe flash 10.1 or later. I think I have a later version, 11.?, which I have downloaded. but I still get the message and can't play Pandora.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here;
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go
Then right or control click the Flash Player.plugin then click Get Info
The version number is noted there.
Assuming you are using Safari ...
Check Safari > Preferences > Security
Make sure: Enable plug-ins is enabled.
Sometimes uninstalling the currently installed Flash plugin then reinstaliing new can help > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video / audio from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Trying to update my apps on the iPhone 3. When I type in user name and password, I get the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" How can I connect?

If your partner registered his iPhone under his support profile, he could try to login & remove the iPhone. This will stop your iMessage problem. Do so here: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
The other thing your partner could try is to insert his sim into an iPhone and turn off iMessage there but this maybe a little more difficult if his Samsung doesn't use a MicrSIM. -

Use a different device.
Adobe did not develop Flash for iOS devices and has ended all Flash development for all mobile devices.
You could try a different browser from the App store such as Skyfire or iSwifter. -

The message is referring to iTunes on your computer, not the iPad : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
The built-in apps on the iPad can only be updated via iOS updates, so if your iPad mini is on iOS 6.0.2 then its up-to-date -
