I'm not sure about your question, it's seems somewhat unclear, but if the above command doesn't work another you can try is using the diskutil command as follows:
"diskutil list"
or
"df -h"
(without "" quotes)
find where the cd is (usually /dev/disk1 but not always depending on what else you have pluged in)
then simply use the 'diskutil' command with the 'eject' argument specifying the device found from the previous command '/dev/disk1'(or what ever your optical is labeled as).
If this isn't your question, I have a macbook unibody late 2009 model and the strangest thing happends, If I downgrade to 10.6.1 my optical drive works fine anything 10.6.8 and above ejects my disk immediately, I have also tested my optical drive out on other OS's such as various linux distro's. Therefore I have come to the conclusion its a bug. - just food for thought. Hope some of this helps

To fix the freezing when sleeping problem go to System Preferences>Energy Saver and set 'Computer Sleep' to 'Never'. It seems there is a problem for some with Bluetooth failing to wake after sleep. This fixes it 100% for me and many others on here, until Apple issue a software update to address it.
Not sure what to suggest on the internet problem. I assume you are connected and receive and send emails OK.
Edit: To try to troubleshoot the internet issue maybe try turning the Firewall off: System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Firewall tab.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

Thanks for the link but none of those described the problem. No error message pops up. It just says "Accessing Itunes Store" but it never actually does. This only occurs when my iPhone is plugged in though.

Interleaf record count - does anyone know what it is or how to fix it?

After running verify and repair disc utility I am getting a message saying the "Interleaf Record Count should be 0 instead of 1397." The repair utility cannot fix it. I do not have any other disc repair software. Does anyone know what it is, how important it is (probably is important), and how I can fix it? Do I need Tech Tools or equivalent? Probably!! Tx!!

This is on my old iMac G4, 700Mhz running 10.3.9.

The only way to fix the problem is with Disk Warrior. If left alone you will likely incur data loss or more directory damage. If you don't want to buy repair software, then you could erase the hard drive, reinstall OS X, and reinstall your third-party software.
Be sure to back up your personal data files beforehand.

Thank you for responding. I just went to the link. I previously checked on system preferences but everything there appears as it should. I also went through the other steps such as trying a headset. There is also no sound with this. I don't remember doing anything different on my computer between yesterday and today that may have to do with software or how preferences are selected. So I fear something is physically broken. Do you have any other suggestions for troubleshooting?

Today, I was on Tumblr, when something popped up. It disappeared before I was able to read it. Suddenly, the page refreshed. Not one picture loaded. I am only able to read the text. None of the pictures on the website are showing up. I tried everything. Restarting the computer, opening a new Firefox window, and everything else I could think of. Tumblr is running fine, on IE. With Tumblr on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.
