I have a mastercard gift card and i bought something it said it wasn't in bank records
i kept trying over and over and finally reregistered my card, it went through many times all for the same thing will it buy all of them or find theu are the same thing and only buy one it is for my ipod so i don't think it can buy a app over and over again but will it charge me?

I have a mastercard gift card with about $14 left on it. I figured I would use this to buy apps as I come across them in the App store. I was poking around in Itunes and I couldn't find a place to put in a one time credit card purchase. I really just want to turn that $14 into itunes credit.

Also, I would not recommend leaving your CC entered in iTunes.

Very very likely that tax is applicable and tax is more than $0.01. You need to add a payment method for the tax. If you add a credit card, the girft card balance will be used up first.

http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html - Does an Amex gift card count as a credit card? For example, it doesn't say debit cards are accepted. I believe one of hte differences between American Express and other cards is AmEx is not a credit card.

Yes, it will, unless you make a purchase which can't be done with a gift card, in which case the balance will remain and the entire purchase be charged to the credit card.

Are you able to take the card back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? It's not possible to view the code that was used to redeem an iTuness gift card but you can view your balance.
From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Sign In
Select iTunes Store from the source list on the left.
Your balance should be available just above QUICK LINKS right side of the iTunes window.
