I have a memory problem that doesn't add up on my MacBook Air?

My MacBook Air says it has 70 GB taken up on my 121 GB Storage, but yet it says that I have 92 GB left of storage to use up. If you add that up then the amount of memory I should have on my Mac is 160. Not including other stuff that take up space on the drive as well. I don't get it, The category that my Mac says the 70 GB is under is Applications. I open finder and see that none of my apps take up more then 3 GB. So what is wrong? Can someone please help me?

The Applications folder will contain much more than 3 GB. Not all Applications have to be stored there.

I have a tiny problem that is driving me mad. When I am playing an album in iTunes using cover flow view (with the playlist beneath the artwork picture) the picture is exactly above the album title. All is symmetrical. When I switch to full screen display, the artwork moves a couple of inches to the left and the display is therefore asymmetrical. Why and how do I correct it? I was having the same problem, but tried the "Top Button + Home Button" reset and that did work for me. My unofficial guess is that perhaps RAM caches get filled through daily use of various apps leaving no memory for cover flow. Resetting the phone on the phone itself seems to reset that RAM. I can't say it's a cure-all, but it solved my issue. Hope this helps.

Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

However after part of the Itune update completed a message came up on the screen

I have tested it over several days with different internet connections...and have done it with another notebook computer on the same connection and it the video uploaded and recorded fine. I can also use the video webcam with Google Hangouts and it records and works fine. So I know the problem is not internet connection...and apparantly not even the webcam or mic.

Try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

TS4002 why doesn't deleted mail on my MacBook Air show as deleted on my iPad and iPhone

I thought that when I deleted mail on my MacBook Air, it would be deleted automatically on my iPad and iPhone. However; this does not happen, and is annoying having to delete from each individual device. How can I rectify this problem please?

What version of mac are you running? Have you downloaded any of the drivers/software off the website yet? If not, you will need to download and install the CUPS Printer Driver and the Canon IJ Network tool.

When I back to Jordan I sent it to the authorized support center “ Multivision” in Amman and asked them to help in cleaning the keyboard as it still sticky and I explained to them that the issue and I clarified that all are working fine.
For a two days they didn’t back to me and they answered that they are still checking it, and then after they just called me saying that my macbook is damaged and not working and its better for me to buy a new one!!!
They say that the liquid damaged the main board! I explained to them that this can’t be as it was working fine when I delivered it to them and I didn’t ask them to open it I told them to help in cleaning the keyboard!
I am complaining about this support behavior and they were not cooperative nether polite in communicating.
I am not convinced that the liquid damaged my macbook and I think that the staff at “Multivision” are not qualified and did something wrong to damage my macbook!
I need you help to investigate this issue and have a feedback.

Get the new keyboard at eBay and replace by yourself may be cheaper way, though you're required higher skill and well know about MacBook Air.

I want to have my iTunes play lists and play counts on my new MacBook Air transferred over from my old (4 years and dying) MacBook Air.

Copy the entire iTunes folder including the iTunes library file from your old Mac to the same Music folder on your new Mac. Then down the Option key while launching iTunes and select the copied iTunes folder. That should get you all your playlists, playcounts etc.; those are stored in that iTunes library file.

Kernel panics are usually caused by a hardware problem – frequently RAM, a USB device or a Firewire device. What external devices do you have connected? When trying to troubleshoot problems on a laptop, disconnect all external devices. Do you experience the same problems?

Do you have an Apple Hardware Test disc (the AHT is on the Install/Restore DVD that came with your Mac)? If Loop Mode is supported by the version of the Apple Hardware Test you are using, you run the Extended Test in Loop Mode by pressing Control-L before starting the test. Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button.The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If a problem is found, the test will cease to loop, indicating the problem it found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure.In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.

Can I have an iPhone 5s that doesn't use the fingerprint to unlock the phone?

Dude. Once your personal biometric data has been gathered and digitized, it will be available to anyone that is determined enough to get it. PERIOD. Think of all the other times Apple has said they were not collecting data and it turned out they were. Think about the recent NSA discussions of backdoors that allow the monitoring of email and other data. Apple has not come out and said clearly that their A7 chip doesn't have a backdoor, or that there is absolutely no way your fingerprint data could not be accessed and collected. If it can be stored and retrieved by the iOS on the phone, it can ultimately be accessed by bad guys that are determined enough. I'm done. I'm not interested in any device that collects such data. Why would anyone allow their person and privacy be invaded in that way? Of course if you buy the phone and agree to the EULA you have consented to the collection and use of this information. Enjoy!
