I can't answer why you are not able to connect to WiFi but I can tell you to try the basic things, turn WiFi off and on again, restart your iPad, reset network settings, reboot your router, forget your WiFi network and try again .....
The issue with the email is probably a password issue. Make sure that your password is entered in the incoming mail server setting and in the outgoing mail server setting as well. The outgoing server setting can be accessed by tapping on the SMTP under the Outgoing Mail Server Setting and then tapping the smtp.comcast.net in the next window under the Primary Server Setting.
The outgoing mail server setting will be in the first window when you tap on the Comcast account in the Mail settings.
Look here for a few different web sites for help with the WiFi.

  • My Email has been Hacked. What should I do?

After many years of trouble-free email use, today I am getting calls from friends saying that they are receiving bogus emails from me. I have changed my password for BT mail & paypal, and delted the emails telling me about the new passwords! I have also send an email to everyone in my contacts asking them to delete odd emails as they are not from me. I checked my sent items - the messages were not sent via my outbox. I am very untechnical and don't know what else I should do. My email address is used for work and it would be almost impossible to change it. Any advice? Thanks. Lou
PS: The bogus emails are very low-quality & wouldn't fool a 10-year old!! Who do they think would buy financial products from a hacker????

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
May I assume that you are using webmail to access email ? Is this a btinternet.com email address ? You say you use it for work.
Are you aware if every person in your contact list was targetted with the spam at the same time, or did they get this spam when they sent you a reply ?
Have you been receiving emails fine ?
Changing password is the best thing you could have done, but you may like to check one more thing for now.
    1. Login to webmail (http://mail.yahoo.com - using your full @btinternet.com email address as the Yahoo! ID)
    2. Click on Options/Mail (or More) Options and choose Vacation response.
    3. Make sure nothing is ticked to enable a response, and delete any possible offending message.

  • Re: My Email has been Hacked. What should I do?

My email was hacked this morning - the first I knew about it was when a friend phoned me at work and asked if I was stuck in the Philippines.  I have reset my BT Yahoo password and the result was that all my contact list in BT Yahoo, the in box and sent items and other folders disappeared.  I' m currently using webmail.  Should this have happened or is something more sinister going on?  Can anyone help please.

It may be that you have not been hacked but your email address has been used by scammers. The Philippines scam has been doing the rounds for some time. It tries to get the recipient to send money to a Western Union or other account to help you. I doubt the email your friend received will actually name you in it but just make reference to needing help and money.
With regards to your own email account. Resetting your password should not have caused the problem you have. If you contact the phone number in my previous link they should be able to help you recover them.

An alternate email address is not the same thing as a rescue email address.

  • I cannot access my rescue email address

Here is my problem.  I have multiple AppleIDs because I am stupid, but I only use one.  I bought a new Macbook Pro recently, and when I went to buy something off of the App Store, I was unable to do so because I do not remember the security questions for my Apple ID.  I followed everybody's directions to go change my security questions, but the caveat is that I cannot access my rescue email address anymore.

If you don't have access to your rescue email account (you won't be able to change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

OS X installers have always been fairly specific, hardware-wise. I haven't read anything reflecting that situation with the Recovery HD, so it may be that the Recovery HD created for the MacBook Pro does not have the necessary drivers for the Mac Pro. Obviously, nothing definitive here, but a possibility.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • I want to change my Apple ID because I have a new email address, but what happens when someone tries to facetime me using my old Apple ID?

I want to change my Apple ID because I have a new email address, but what happens when someone tries to facetime me using my old Apple ID? Will they still be able to contact me on facetime using my old Apple ID?

Not if you change the ID.  You would need to give them the new address.

No, "My Number" was not listed in my Phone menu, I had to manually type it it.  Is there a way for that number to automatically be listed in that "My Number" spot?  Would that maybe have something to do with my phone number not being listed as an option in the "Send and Receive" spot under messaging???

I want to use one of my icloud email addresses as a new apple ID.  It was an additional email contact address I originally set up for my child.  But now, I'd like to set her up on Family Sharing, using that email as her ID.  Obviously, when I try to use it when setting up a new apple ID, it says the email is already being used (Yes, by ME) and I need to select a different one.  Can I somehow delete that email address in order to set up a new apple ID using it?  Or is there another way to "re-use" that address for my child's new ID?

"Well, then I want to be able to merge that one and the one my purchases are on..."
This is exactly what I want to do but don't think I can:
    I noticed the following :
If you attempt to create an Apple ID which is the same as your @icloud email address from the online facility, it does not allow you (can't use an Apple associated email address as your Apple ID). However - if you start a fresh device - such as a new iPhone, iPad (must be mobile it seems), and then create an iCloud account and Apple ID from the prompts when setting up the mobile device, it IS possible to have your Apple ID and @iCloud email address as the same. I know because I just did it!
Unfortunately for me, the result I got above is not for one of my own ID's but a friends, and I would VERY much like to do the same - my current Apple ID is a completely different email address from my iCloud account. Trying to get them the same in my situation is a major bother - I think that if I wipe a device (such as an iPhone5 that is mine) and try to setup as I did my friend's device, then I will get a conflict because the iCloud email I have ALREADY exists. This is my worry and I will not attempt this until I get the new iPad 4 soon to test this.
There is an inconsistency here between the two methods of creating Apple ID's and iCloud accounts.
Overall in my opinion, the Apple ID system as currently available from Apple is not designed very well, and should be addressed.
    Best wishes -

  • I have a new email address but when I try to open apple ID my iPad automatically opens the old email and says my password is incorrect. I can't get around it.

I have a new email address but when I am asked to sign in with my Apple ID for Apple store my iPad automatically shows my old email and rejects my password. How do I get around this?

I kind of agree with Philly on this one.  If you get a new email address, there is no need to establish an entirely new account to use that address.  You just need to modify your account to show the new email address.  This way all your purchase history and rights to purchased apps stays in place.  Creating a new iTunes/Apple account each time your email address changes really doesn't make sense in my opinion.   I only point this out for future searchers who end up on this thread.
