I have a mystery comment bubble appearing on my PDF.

The document shows no comments but when i highlight fields the yellow box appears on the document saying 'marked set by (me)' - i click on it and i cant delete it, and it doesnt appear in the comment section on the left of the screen in edit mode.
When saved and opened on the internet a bubble appears in the footer as if there is a comment there - how do I rid myself of it?!

The top image shows the document when I open it in Acrobat on my desktop. As you can see it says there are no comments.
The bottom image shows that a comment bubble appears once it is saved, attached to our website and downloaded.

I have recently had 3 bubbles appear on my screen. They look like little air pockets that you can't feel or anything. They don't affect the use of my phone but they can be pretty annoying. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed? Will Apple give me another phone as a replacement?

Hi I have a report based on the comment bubble template, what I need is to show a popup on mouseover to show more information. I looked at the packaged applications that come with Apex 4.2 and the Artwork Cataloge application seems to have a region based on plsql and on mouseover a really nice popup appears showing more information. I am wondering how I could do the same for my comment bubble report using this method. I'm not sure how to do it as my report/region is not based on plsql. Can anyone help me, I'm new to Apex so still finding my feet.

Here is a the code from the "Recent bugs" region, but stripped of their complexity - and stripped of identifying objects from my code, so you pretty much just need to fill in the sql, and clean it up... it was very quick and dirty

Comment bubbles no longer appear in side margin. When I save as a PDF, the comments I have made in the Pages doc. can't be seen. What is the workaround for this?

A have new problem that has appeared in my Mac Mail. When I type a frequently used email into the 'To: line' it populates the correct name but with 8 different email addresses not associated with that name.

I have gone to the window pop-down to 'previous recipients' and deleted that addressee as well as all the email addresses it is assigning to that name. I have also deleted the account entirely from my address book. I have have run repair permissions and also full defrag in iDefrag. Still the problem persists. Any suggestions?

I noticed you posted this problem quite a while ago and wondered if you managed to have it fixed in an alternative way then posting here. It is too bad no one has posted a solution here. I have a similar problem and if you have had yours solved since this occurance how you accomplished it may help me with mine. I am interested to know what you have done about yours.

How do I stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing in Adobe reader?

Hi,
everytime I open Adobe Reader XI (Windows 7) the tools/sign/comment bar appears. It takes sometime to load as it presumably connects to the internet.
I do not wish to use any of these functions (some of which are only available with a subscription).
I close the group by clicking the tools pane and it goes away, increasing the screen area available.
I don't want to have to close this everytime (nor do I want pdfs to always open full screen).
Is there an easy way to permanently stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing?

Pat you are correct as I am able to Enable Automatic prompting for file download in the Internet security Zone of IE and then this will automatically prompt for the file download. I am trying to determine if there is a way to have all PDFs open automatically without lowering security for all downloads. On my personal device a PDF from a site will open in browser without either of these prompts. I do have IE9 on my PC however the other PCs are still stuck on IE8. In my troubleshooting I did notice that the Active X for Adobe PDF Reader is listed under the Run without Permission, but is not in the All add-ons section. This just seemed odd to me.

Reviewer comments not appearing in project file

Hi there,
This is my third month of using Captivate so I'm definitely a 'newbie' here.
My team has created and sent out a handful of Captivate projects to subject-matter experts for their comments. Each .crev file was linked to the appropriate networked folder with a specific 'comments folder' also linked in.
Most of them seem to be working fine: When I open the original file and show the comments bar, the comments all appear. However, there is one that doesn't seem to want to work. The xml files of the comments from people are saved in the correct folder on the network, and when I open the .crev file, I can see the comments. However, they aren't showing up on the original file. Even when I 'import' the comments, there is a sort of page refresh, but nothing happens.
Fortunately, we haven't received tons of comments for this project yet, so one idea I had was to just do it over again. But I'm not sure what I would do differently so I don't get the same problem.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and what I can do to make sure it doesn't happen again?

How do I get comments to appear in margins?

I have a word doc with comments that I've opened in Pages. The comments are superimposed on the text, absurdly obscuring the text they are supposed to help edit! How do I get the comments to appear in the margins instead?

YOu are using PAges 5, but sisn't say. You can't move the comments. If you have Pages 09 use that application instead and you'll gett the comments in the margin. If you had it before you should still have Pages 09 in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

Oh I know there are many other vocabulary mistakes but never mind them I was just too excited when I wrote all of that while typing very quickly

Mysterious white box appears when project published

Hi all
Another issue. When either either hit F4 to preview a project, or publish it to an .exe, a mysterious white box appears across a few of the slides.
I've hunted for the cause of this box everywhere. It doesn't appear when I preview the same slides using F3. There are no objects in the timelines of those slides that would explain it.
How do I get rid of this box appearing? It makes me want to remove this program from my computer altogether.

The path looks right. On my PC, with Desktop and Admin, my path settings for Discoverer look like this:

I can't see anything wrong with the path. This is very mystifying. I think you may have to speak with Oracle Support. Other than the Discoverer installation being corrupt with one or more files missing I can't think why you would be seeing a white console box. I'll keep researching and if I come upon anything I will let you know. To help I have listed alongside each of my locations the number of files and fodlers I have. If yours is different there is a possibility of a corruption.

Show comment bubbles but not change bubbles?

I waited a loooong time for Pages to offer change tracking (for better MS Word compatibility), but now I'm beginning to regret the fulfillment of my fervent wishes. All those blue bubbles -- hundreds of them on a page in the types of papers I edit -- really slow editing down. I don't need to see each and every deletion of a space, etc. But I do need to see the comments that I'm inserting. Yet all those blue bubbles push the comments far down the page, away from their context. And if there are more than a handful of changes, the comments get tucked underneath those bubble scrolling arrows at the bottom of each page, and it's quite tedious to scroll through dozens of irrelevant blue bubbles to find the important yellow comment bubble. Forget about trying to scan several comments at once -- can't be done with all those intervening blue bubbles.
Is there any way of tracking changes but hiding the blue change bubbles while displaying the yellow comment bubbles? It seems I can turn off all bubbles, and I can turn off change tracking, but I need to be able to track changes and see comments. Surely, there's a way to do this....the gods forbid that there isn't and I have to go back to using MS Word!

Well, I guess I can't use it for the hard core editing. I really, really like it otherwise, and it's definitely getting there as a Word replacement for most activities. However, I don't know about others -- I can't really afford more than one office suite. ;-P
NeoOffice is nice, but again, sub-standard comments support. I guess it's sticking with MS Word still. Bummer.

Bubbles appearing on the screen?

Has anyone had any issues with bubbles appearing on the screen of their MBP? I mean actual screen defect bubbles not screen graphics, I have just noticed one which is about 4 pixels square and another couple that are around pixel size?

Mais j'arrive à me débrouiller... Le problème c'est que si quelqu'un écris en français ici je crois que je suis le seule qui sache répondre et je n'arrive pas à répondre à tous le question nonplus (même chose avec l'italien et l'allemand). En plus peut être que aussi quelqu'un d'autre a la même question mais il ne comprends pas le français et si je réponds en français ça ne lui ser à rien...

Go with the mouse pointer on the little blue image with mountains and lake and the rollover effect will show a hello on the bottom right. Click and you will get to my website. Everything working...
href="yoursite/yourpage is the url of the page you want to get the visitors to when they click on the image. If you don't want to use it as a link just don't put anything there...
If you publish to a folder, like I do. You still have to put the images to the server separately (basically same as publishing to .mac). The why... Is because you have to provide the url for the images in the script/code. And because you can't put them in the html-snippet. Code is code and where code is code is needed. And url is code... If not it wouldn't work.
