I have had my phone number for about 2 month i opted for ex directory and its also a new number, we have only given close family the number but we recieve calls asking for other people and sales calls and i dont mean every now and then i mean everyday and its highly frustrating sometimes they are ringing at like 8 oclock in the morning. with this being a new number surely no one should have this unless BT have been Green and recycld the number , was wondering where i stand with this and is there anything i can do i dont think its fair that i should have to pay to stop any of this. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you registered with the TPS ?
A new number, ex-directory or not, will not unfortunately stop automatic number dialling systems. If the number didn't exist before, the auto-dialler would just step over to the next number.
Hence as soon as the number is live, the auto-diallers will dial it. Even though it's a new number, there will be numbers either side of it in a range so it's not actually going to be a secret if you don't mind me saying.
May I ask how you know it's a new number ? It may have actually been used before by another customer, numbers are re-used after a period of time - possibly only a few months.
Can you say what you are referring to with regard "paying to stop any of this" ?

I have a new iPhone 5 and receive the following message when texting some people within my contacts. Message sent using invalid number of digits please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code Msg:2114. Online I found a discussion that stated i needed to delete contact and re-add. I have done that to no avail. Any ideas?
I had the same issue with the iPhone 6 and tried everything! I now understand that at some point I stored a number for a contact without including the area code and sent a text message. So, to correct the issue, you must literally "erase" all references to the contact, not just the number. Deleting the contact and entering a new one is not enough because the iPhone stores references to that number in multiple places. The steps below worked and are very simple:
1) On the contact screen, delete everything stored for that number. You can't just edit the contact to fix the problem, so write down or record the info somewhere before you complete this step. Choose edit and then select DELETE to eliminate the entire contact which means home, work, cell, email address, etc.
2) Delete the entire string of messages you sent to that number. That's every single message...
3) Now delete the entire string of invalid 2114 messages you received after your text(s) failed.
4) Finaly, remove the contact from FAVORITES if you saved it that way.
5) To validate that all this worked, simply go to the keypad or contact screen and enter the number associated with the contact to verify successful removal. I used the keypad and dialed to confirm. If the contact number still shows up, you need to go back and recheck your steps. Trust me, I had to do this a few times.
Several posts suggested that you should reset and turn off your phone. After following these steps, it was not necessary for me to reset or turn off my device.
is there a much faster way to achieve the same results? Probably, but this was safe for an iPhone novice and may help you avoid inadvertently deleting other contacts or replacing factory settings that you need. -

You could simply set each device to only use a single telephone number (settings > messages > send & receive, but this isn't really an ideal solution since the other person can always change their settings and see your messages and send messages that appear as if they are from you. There is only one real solution and that's to have your own accounts. -
I got my Imac and Trackpad in may so its new and the batterys have run out on the trackpad, so i have put new batterys in and its not even turning back on i have tried the batterys the other way round ( i used duracell) and still not working, so i put the old batterys in and it still wont turn on. I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -

On you other machine with Lr5 installed or Lr3 installed search for a file on you computer called "Lightroom 3.0 Registration" or "Lightroom 5.0 Registration". You may have to search for hidden/system files. These files contain your Serial Numbers in plain text.
Otherwise, if your order number is from Adobe you can log in with your account to see your purchased products or contact Adobe with that order number. -
How do I get out of cs3 Illustrator's upgrade check? I already have a purchase serial number and there is no known, upgrade for CS3 for Illustrator. It has CS2.
Questions:
Is the app store looking to my hard drive for traces of aperture to determine whether it has been purchased or is it looking at some kind of purchase history within the app store?
Is there anyway to wipe my hard drive clean of aperture files or wipe clean my app store purchase history so that i can start over?
If none of this is possible, does anyone have a possible solution?
If i were to redownload aperture (currently for free since it won't let me pay) when a subsequent update comes out (say it goes from version 3.2.2 to 3.2.3) can i then elect to buy aperture, pay the fee and will it appear as a purchased app and allow me to get upgrades going forward? Would any data be compromised with this?
1. Do you have a backup connected to your Mac that contains the app? If so, yes the MAS can detect that and believes that the app is installed.
2. If the app no longer appears in the purchase history on the Purchased pane in the MAS, then it would seem that Apple has taken care of that.
4. Updates, such as you describe are free. Upgrades are not. An upgrade is a new paid version of the app, such as v 3.0 to v 4.0. -

You should be able to get the CS3 programs installed and running on the new pc since CS3 is spec-ed for Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Downloading the programs does not require a serial number. You can find them here: Download CS3 products but you will need the serial number to activate the programs. You might be able to find that thru your Adobe account online.
You will not be able to install the CS5 Mac version on a PC and you won't be able to trade it to a PC version either due to it being an older version. Trades are allowed only for the latest version (CS6) -
I have a new MAcBook Air and my photos don't fit on the internal hard drive. I want to store my photos on an external hard drive which I will connect to my Air when using Iphoto. How do I set an external hard drive as the default drive in Iphoto?
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Since Apple has stopped supporting and offering iDVD you'll need to purchase the iLIfe 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 which will include iDVD 7.
