Q3miki please remove your current installation of Adobe Reader and run the installer for Creative Suite 6 again. There is an option to install Acrobat Professional 11 from the Creative Suite 6 installation media.

Just plug the iPod in and open iTunes. It will the iPod will show in the devices section of the iTunes sidebar. Click on the iPod go to the summary tab and set you syncing options. You can do this for as many iPods/iPhones/iPads as you like.

Hold down Option Command Escape at the same time... from the drop down Menu choose Force Quit Safari.

Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

Remember security on a TC is an illusion.
Simply press the reset button for 1-2 sec.. you must not do too long .. it will then hard reset.. but soft reset will revert all passwords to default for 5min. ie TC password is now public.
Remember this the next time because anybody at all can change your passwords.
Once into the TC you can then open the view passwords if you wanted any weaker security. Click and open the TC.. and click on edit.. then go to the top menu..
Voila .. all your passwords in plain sight to any Tom Dick and Fred. -
I'm 51 years old and recently retired. I have a new IPad Air. Which MacBook should I buy to go with it? I don't understand flash storage. It feels like I would have a bunch of flash drives to keep up with. Help an old lady out!!!
Depends on how you want to use it. Flash storage on the newer macbook and macbook air are built in. A macbook air is the most light weight and a very good machine. It will do all you want it to do unless you are running some very intensive programs. If you go to the apple store on line you can compare the different macbook pro" and macbook Air's.

After the latest update my phone shows I have a new TXT Message and there are NO TXT messages. How do I fix this? I have tried clearing the cache, I have tried the factory reset, I have no 3rd party messaging apps and have done noting different with my phone that I have been doing the last 6 months.

I regret to learn of any issues after the software update. Let's check some things out on your phone! Does the text message say who it came from? Is it a contact you message on a regular basis? Are you using the messaging application that came with the device, or a 3rd party application?
I recommend deleting any unneeded messaging threads and then powering the device off/on. Keep me posted!

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

I have a new HP 7525 printer. I have a MAC desk top coputer. It has OS X 10.5.8. I need to upgrade so I can complete the install of my printer. Can I do this online(download a new system) I am also not sure if I need Snow Lepoard, or Mountin Lion. HELP!

Many third party applications (and some Apple ones) may need updates for SL (Adobe particularly) and definitely will for Lion/Mountain Lion, so check with the vendors for compatability before you upgrade.
Also, while most legacy PPC apps that run in Leopard will also run in SL under Rosetta, they won't run at all in Lion/ML as Rosetta support has been dropped. That may include drivers for some older peripherals as well as apps like Appleworks or Office 2004 or earlier and many Adobe apps.
For what it's worth, I'd go to 10.6.8 and try the printer. If it works OK, stay there until you have a chance to try the newer OS on someone elses computer. It's not for everyone, as may be attested by the number of requests for info on rolling back to SL. -

Brian marksLet me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -
I have a new Mac Book Pro Retinal. Should I leave the charger connected while I am at my desk or should I disconnect the charger and all the battery to full cycle?
I leave mine plugged in when at a desk most of the time.
The battery will slowly discharge from 100% to 95% even on wall power, then recharge to 100% ... to save usage of the recharge circuits.
At least once a month I use it on battery and let the battery run down to about 40%.
DO NOT run to "dead" ... that will shorten battery life.
BTW: My battery currently (after 1 year) can still hold 101% of factory-designed charge. -
i've just bought a new macbook pro retina. i am using a usb not assocciated with this mac. when i try to download movies onto the usb it keeps coming back saying its full when i know there is plenty of space left. what can i do to correct this problem? do i need to buy a new usb? thanks
