I have a new iphone 4 but have a problem in that the network reads Sim not provisioned, please advise how to overcome this problem?
My new iphone has been recognised by itunes, updated the software but unable to connect to a network, on checking "Network" the phone is searching but to no avail. In "About, Network, there is a statement reading SIM not provisioned". I have no idea what this refers to perhaps someone could advise?
I've managed to speak to someone who knew what he was talking about and having confirmed the original sim on my iPhone 3 followed by confirming the number on the iPhone 4 Micro Sim he advised that the new micro sim had not been activated. As a direct result we'll head off to one of their support offices to activate and hopefully pass on the iphone 3 to another of our employees after a reset of course!

When I try to backup to the PC or Icloud my IPAD2 the following message appears that "Itunes could not back upthe ipad because the backup could not be saved on the computer" and the nthe process stops. However this message does not appear when I update for the new software my IPAD 4. Please note that my itunes is up to date. I cannot log in as an Administrator to my PC. That is almost always because the phone was hacked to illegally unlock it. Contact the carrier it's locked to and ask about having it legitimately unlocked. If they will not do so, you will not be able to activate that phone.

i just got new iphone 4 but it tells me to restore the phone wen i plug in my computer.. then half way thru the restoring on the "firmwear" part it stops an says error "9?? wats the go there?? its driving me insane...
Let's first define what "new" means. Was it purchased from Apple or your authorized carrier, and it came in a shrink wrapped box? Or is it only new to you, and you don't know its history?
Assuming it truly is a new, never used phone, Error 9 means that the USB connection to the phone is intermittent. Do the following:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4) - if not, download and install it from htp://www.apple.com/itunes
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall software
Disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse
Connect the cable to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a hub; do not connect the other end to the phone yet (If your computer is a desktop or tower and has ports on both front and back us a port on the back)
Launch iTunes
Connect the phone to the other end of the cable
If the phone is recognized in iTunes proceed with the Restore
If the phone is NOT recognized by iTunes:
Disconnect the cable from the phone (leave connected to the computer)
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the screen goes blank, then IMMEDIATELY release the SLEEP button but continue holding the HOME button
Connect the cable to the phone while holding the HOME button
Wait for iTunes to recognize the phone, then release the HOME button (this may take several minutes of holding)
If you still have a problem after these steps take the phone to Apple for exchange. -
I purchased music on my computer with old email address, same computer new email address, but I get play music becasue it tells me computer not authorized...how do you authorize???
I have almost the exact same problem. I have a bunch of music, ringtones, TV shows, movies... stuff that I purchased that I can't authorize. All of these items were purchased with the same account I'm still using now. The difference is that I've changed my email address. I don't have the original email address from when I made those purchases and I'm unable to authorize them. I can see that when I view info on one of these purchases the "Account Name: " has my old email address... not my iTunes or Apple account. So, if I'm authorizing my iTunes using my new email none of these older purchases will work.
I'm really curious how to fix this. I've got quite a few purchases from years back that I'd like access to, but I can't authorize using my new email/iTunes or my old email (the one used for the original purchases).
Take a look at the info and tell me if you see "Account Name:" on one of your purchases. And is that associated to your old email address? There has to be a way to fix this or 'transfer' older purchases, especially if it's all under the same real 'account'. -

I have not yet seen any official response to the question: "Is the Apple AV Composite cable fully supported with 30pin connector devices upgraded with iOS7 - specifically ? - eg. iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s"
If it is not currently supported is that then due to a bug / oversight and in that case is it something that will be fixed in the near future?

When I activate iTunes Match it goes through the process of analysing my library, then it matches a few songs but always then stops stating that the network dropped out - any ideas?

That's the metadata server, used by Spotlight. AFAIK, Spotlight does not index audio CDs, so what is this about? I don't know. Maybe it's the cause of what you observe; or maybe it's another symptom. Thinking again of the network issue… have you maybe installed some third-party software related to both Spotlight and the network (Searchlight perhaps)? -

Every time I download a file to my macbook pro, it saves it to downloads but changes the name and inserts % sign. Please advise how to correct the name that it is saved under.
Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

I have been trying to update my iPhone4s' software from version 5.0.1 to version 5.1. I continue to get a message from iTunes that a network connection could not be established. I was buying apps for my phone on my computer so I know that my connection is good. I clicked on Help in iTunes and had it to run a network diagnostic and all was good. I upgraded from a 4s to a 5s. I backed up my icloud and in the Apple store they helped me transfer. I didn't wait in the store for all my information to download and when I got home later that night the apps all downloaded and were good. I didn't check the photos and videos though. I think I may have stopped the icloud retoration and maybe that is why not all my photos are on my new iphone. Now in the camera roll it shows slots for photos, but they are not there. When I tap on the photo, it just shows "Loading" and is working, but the photo doesn't appear. Any assistance would be helpful
