The same goes for everything you want on your iDevice, you synchronize it with iTunes.
It takes the same process for other items like Apps, Photos, Videos, Books, Ring Tones, Podcasts, etc.
iTunes is the window to your iDevices, to see what's on your device and sync things to it.
Personally I would rather a simple USB-drive method of putting things on and sort things how I would like them, but iTunes is the way Apple has done it.

This phone was new. And it was sealed from the box that was closed. And the backup was on my laptop. And this icloud account was saved by mistake on my laptop.

I downloaded Ipad apps on my computer via itunes but it won't sync.. its shows that apps are installed but won't appear on my Ipad4. I tried switching it of and still couldn't find it when i switched it back on.

I have a new ipod touch 32 gb. I want to sync 2,250 songs from itunes, but it won't sync - it says I don't have enough space. A 32 GB is suppose to hold up to 7000 songs! I have not put anything else in it. What am I doing wrong?

What is the format of your songs?

I have a new ipod touch Model A1367. Charged it for two days now and it will not be recognized by itunes for automatic download.

Hvae new ipod touch. It has charged for two days and will ntobe recognized by itunes as a new device for an automatic download. I cannot get rid of the plug in screen that comes up first before it is charged, Thanks

I have a new desktop. I've loaded all my CDs onto it but the music won't sync with my phone. Why not

I recently needed to replace my desktop, Whern it was all set up I connected my iPhone and synced it to the new desktop. Everything syncs but my music. All my purchased mucic syncs but not my own CDs. I've now loaded all my CDs onto the new desktop, created the playlists, etc. I connected my iPhone again and made sure the computer is authorized and clicked on the image of my iPhone on the left side of the screen. I then clicked on Sync entire music library and clicked on Apply. But my music still will not sync. What do I need to do?

Try clicking on your iPhone under devices- go to the Music tab - uncheck sync music- Remove Music - Click apply - Wait for sync to finish then try rechecking sync music - Apply.

I have just bought a new ipod nano and have tried to sync it with my existing itunes. It won't sync. It does not recognise the device. It wont eject. It says that some other application is stopping it from ejecting

I have a new iPod Touch but some of the albums aren't grouping correctly and are just listing the songs individually, how can I fix this?

I got an iPod touch as a Christmas gift to replace an old broken iPod Nano, and it's worked fine apart from this thing with the Albums. Certain Albums (Albums made up of individual songs by different artists) aren't properly grouping into a single Album, but instead turns each individual song into it's own Album unless the songs are by the same artist, this is really weird since the old Nano never had this issue. I'm not sure what causes this or how to fix it, I thought maybe turning off "Group by Album Artist" in settings would do the trick but that doesn't seem to have done anything. Basically I just want to get these songs properly grouped into a Single Album instead of as individual albums for each song and was curious if anyone knew how to do this.
I do apologize if this is confusing, I'm not really sure how to describe the problem.

Your music will only be where you put it.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Everything should be there.

If you manually open iPhoto do you not see the photos?

Yu are trying to impoort photos taken by or saved to the iPod, right? If the photos were synced to the iPod then iPhot does not work.

I have a new ipod nano and have created an Apple ID and provided all of my account details including address (shipping and billing and debit card). When trying to buy music through itunes I am told to review my account details. i.e. I cannot use itunes!!

I have a new ipod nano but at the moment I am unable to download music through itunes. I'm so disappointed. I have created an Apple ID, reviewed and inputted all of my data for my account and still get told to 'review account' because my ID has not 'been used with Itunes before. Why is this happening and why don't apple have a more intuative way of dealing with this.
