I have a new ipod, but it will not sync with my playlists?
I have changed my Ipod nan for a classic but it cannot access my playlists?
Thank you all for your replies. Here is what i ended up doing. I cannot afford any 3rd party software so i went to itunes and manually entered all my playlists. As I had indicated my purchased music was on my new computer just not the playlists and I could not sync my ipod. After I rebuilt all my playlists I tried to restore my ipod to factory defaults/new. All of the steps called for in apple support and elsewhere were not available to me. I connected my ipod, went to my computer, right clicked my ipod, and formatted. That wiped my ipod so when I connected to itunes it then gave me a restore option. I did the restore and all is good in the empire again. I can now buy new music and sync my ipod so I am a happy camper.
Thanks to all.

I purchased an ipod shuffle (5th generation I think). It is recognized by the computer and recognized by itunes but will not sync with itunes. Ran diagnostics and all passed but when it got to the sync test, it says "ipod touch, iphone, or ipad found". When I put on earphones, it tells me to sync with itunes. But it will not. What a person to do?
Hi jarrinjack,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You may want to try the steps in our iPod assistant:
http://www.apple.com/support/ipodshuffle/assistant/itunes/
If the issue persists, you can also restore the iPod:

I have a new iPod touch that will not turn on, nor will it connect to iTunes. Any suggestions?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I made a playlist in iTunes, but it will not sync with my iPhone, why?
I made a playlist in iTunes, but it will not sync with my iPhone when I connect it to iTunes and select sync, why? On the music tab, I have selected, import all songs.
Okay, but being "checked and highlighted" does not cause media to sync.
Do you manually manage the content on the device or use the sync feature as designed?
If manually managing the content, can you "drag and drop" the media onto the device?
If syncing, go to the Movies (or video) tab and select the video there, then sync.
Does it work now? -

New iPod Nano gen7 will not sync
Some backround info;
My iMac 27" harddrive was recently replaced (11/2012) by Apple because they said it was defective (replacement was covered by AppleCare).
I have recently purchased an iPod Nano gen7 and connected it to sync with my iTunes library.
My iMac is running OS X 10.8.2 and my iTunes is running Ver. 10.0.2. The iPod Nano gen7 is running Ver. 1.0.2.
My iPhone 5 and iPad 4 both installed prior to my harddrive repalcement are syncing all of my tunes from my old hard drive and tunes added after the harddrive was replace. My complete iTunes library runs from 2007 to present day and is stored in the iCloud.
Listed on my iTunes account, iTunes in the Cloud under Manage Devices are 1) My iMac, 2) My iPhone, and 3) My iPad, Missing is my iPod Nano.
On my Itunes page listed undet "STORE" is a listing called PURCHASED that only shows tunes purchased since my harddrive was replaced.
My problem is that my just purchased iPod Nano gen7 will only sync tunes installed since my harddrive was replace, non of my tunes from my old harddrive.
How can I get iTunes to sync all of my iTunes library to my iPod Nano gen7.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
BillTI have the Same problem we always have this with tech in our house! I came to find this problem after using a faulty socket box, I hadn't noticed that while my iPod was charging in my Belkin USB Adaptor that the Red Light on the Adaptor was flashing (Power On and Off) consistently because of the power not getting through to my adaptor, so while reading my tech magazine there was a rather loud 'BANG' so as you do you go and have a look so I pushed my charger in to the socket harder and the light did not come up on my iPod or my Adaptor meaning that something was wrong with the adaptor... So I checked my iPod and it would not switch on or do anything for that matter!
Please help me on this one guys, i'm not usually the one struggling with tech!

IPod touch 4g will not sync with iTunes after ios6
I upgraded my iPod touch 4g to ios6, and I have iTunes 10.7.0.21 my iPod touch will not sync my music. When it starts I receive an error about a song, different each time I've tried it.
It gets stuck most times (Step 5 of 5) Waiting for changes to be applied. Never moves past and eventually the "sync" spinning circle on the iPod disappears, but iTunes still says it's "waiting".
It appears to have sync the apps, but NO MUSIC .... HELP!
I've already rebooted several times over the past few days, I even went as far as restoring my iPod but now all I have is a really shiny paper weight, not worth a damm penny now.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm on a Windows 7 machines, while I'm not very technicial, I can follow clear steps!
ThanksI am not trying to sync with mutlitple libraries. I did an iPod restore till it was back at configuration state, then attempted to sync it with the XP system. It failed to sync with any options.
I then did another restore to try again on the Windows 7 machine and it was successful. -
