I have a new notebook with windows8. When I open an image in photoshop it is not the correct color.

The icon is the correct color and if I open the image in another app it is the correct color. How do i fix this?

In which other applications does the image look different?
What are the Edit > Color Settings in Photoshop and does the image have an ICC profile embedded or not (you can set the Info Panel’s Panel Options to display »Image Profle«)?

When I open Photoshop CS6 I cannot view the image. The thumbnail is visible on the right hand side and the work area shows the file information, but no image. I have updated PS, my driver. It is the same for both jpg or RAW.

Be sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Try disabling GPU acceleration in the preferences then restart Photoshop.

On my home screen I have the red badge on messages app showing I have a new message. However, when I open my messages there is not a new one?

I'm running firefox 3.6.18 and after the latest windows xp update, I do not get a new tab when I click on the "+" button to get a new tab. A new tab is inserted when I open clik on a link form something in the current window.

When I open some images, blank white boxes appear on the image past a certain zoom point in random locations. This does not show up in the tools though (liquify, camera filter, ect). how do i stop this from happening?

It happens mostly at random, but once it shows up on an image, even if i close and re open it it will still show up. if i zoom out far enough it will disappear, but as soon as i zoom back in again it will reappear. its never in the same spot on different images and never the same size. i was already on with tech support and they deleted my settings folder which seemed to fix it for a short time (like a week), does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?

What do you mean "it may have worked" – did it or did it not?
Anyway it is not a remedy but diagnostics and if it makes a difference it points at the GPU driver as a likely culprit.

Where are my rulers when I open an image in Photoshop

I have installed the current version of Photoshop CS5 windows into my new HP computer. I don't get any ruler guides to show on my opened images, even when the rulers is checked. I have reinstalled the software but still no luck. The same software has been installed onto another computer and low and behold it get the ruler guide! Like I said, my computer is only about two months old. 6GB-Tera HD.....HELP

What happens if you press Control-R?
If you still don't see the rulers, visit the web site of the maker of your video card and download/install the latest display driver for your hardware/OS.

When I open an image in Photoshop from Lightroom it does not show any adjustments, without restarting photoshop between each picture.

I am using Macbook Pro, Photoshop CC, and Lightroom 5.
The problem is: When I start edit in photoshop from Lightroom, the adjustment in Lightroom does not showing up in Photoshop. This has never been happen before while using Photoshop 6.
I have tried to reinstall the products several times, including OS Yosemite. But it does not help.

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. - Is the computer authorized for the iTunes account(s) used on the iPod?
- Are you syncing or manually managing music?
- In iTunes if you go to Preferences and then go to the Devices tab, what date is show for the iPod backup? Is if before you switched computers?
- Your iPod sees the new computer as a new library/computer and you can only sync to one library. You need to restore you iPod from a backup. If that bacup is hosw in Preferences, restore from that backup.
- If the backup is after you switched computers, you have two options:
--- Try to make a backup by right clicking on the iPd under Devices in iTunes and selecting backup.
--- If you can't make a backu, can you get one from the backup of your old computer. It is located here and yu may have to have show hidden files turned on.

You are probably trying to use old Sync with Firefox newer than version 29,
and they did make old Sync unusable on fresh installations of newer Firefox.
You can uninstall that newer Firefox, then install Firefox 29 from here:

Apply your sync key code, then update that installation to current Firefox,
then migrate to new Sync:

Add another e-mail account to your messages, so people could reach you on that e-mail from messages. As soon as you are online (if you have wifi only iPad) you are able to send and receive messages. i.e. your son can send you a messages from his iPhone addressing it to your (that additional) e-mail address.
