What Rudegar says is true, but it's a lot easier to rearrange icons in iTunes:
Connect your phone and open iTunes.
Click on the Apps tab.
You will see your home screen in the main window, with the other screens in a scrollable column on the right. Scroll down and click on the last page to put it in main window.
Now scroll the column so the home page is visible on the right.
Click on the Camera and drag it onto the home page at the right.
Be careful not to accidentally insert it into another app, thereby creating a group.

Approximately 6 months as I was coming from Microsoft directly to OS 8.6. In my mind, the Mac OS was the direct opposite of Microsoft. I was clicking on the left side of the window when I should have been clicking on the right.
Learning OS X took me about 1 1/2 years. Huge learning curve for me. Matter of fact, I am still learning. Still looking for those Easter Eggs.

BTW, your apps remain in the "cloud" regardless of if you think you "moved" them. You cannot delete them from the cloud. They will remain there until:
1. Apple removes it from the App Store for some reason

Hook your iPad up to your computer and iTunes and move them from within iTunes.
Or
Hold down on one of your apps until they all start to wiggle. Then hold down on the ones you want to move and drag them on the screen. Drag them to the middle left to move them left,(such as from page 2 to page one) middle right ot move them right,(from page 2 to page 3) rearrange as you want.
When you're done, tap the home key and everything should stop wiggling.

Transfer your purchases from your plod phone to iTunes by right clicking on your phone in the device list and choosing "transfer purchases". After that all media should be in iTunes, ready to sync with the new phone.

Hello everybody, i hope you can help me with a problem i have, i am considering buying a ipad 3 currently i have a ipad 2 which my girlfriend is going to keep, i want to know if it is possible to keep certain apps that she uses on the ipad 2 and when i get my new ipad can i move all the other apps she does not use onto my new ipad 3. It is a very easy thing to do. If you bought the apps with your Apple ID you can always download them again for free - using that same ID - in the purchased tab of the App Store. If you bought the apps, you can keep them all.
What I would do is ... Before you give her the old iPad, transfer all purchases into iTunes on your computer, backup your iPad with iTunes and sync one last time. Then when you get your new iPad, restore form the old iPad backup and sync with iTunes and the new iPad should be identical to the old one.

So I have a mid 2010 iMac that came with iLife '11. The programs came pre downloaded on my iMac and I can't find a disc anywhere if it came with the computer. I just purchased a new Late 2013 iMac only to find it doesn't have any iLife apps on it. I would love to have these programs as I already do on the other iMac. I tried dragging iDVD to my external and transferring, which seemed to work, only iDVD won't actually create a new project.... I haven't tried any of the other programs yet (Garage Band, iMovie, iPhoto) as I want to know for sure how to successfully do this. As I stated, I did not purchase iLife from the internet, so I cannot just redownload to the new iMac. If you know how to do this, if you could give me a detailed breakdown of why I need to do it would be much appreciated, thank you! (also not sure if I posted in the right community...)

All new Macs include the iLife apps, except for iDvd which Apple discontinued some time ago. You will need to go to the Mac App Store, sign it with your Apple ID and you will be given the option to accept and download the iLife apps.
As for moving iDVD, I've never had to do that, had it on a disk so I've always been able to copy it. You might be able to use migration assistant, not sure if you can specify only one app to move with it. Searching the new brings up some other possibilities.
So basically apart from iDVD you do have all the new iLife apps. You just need to get them from the Mac App Store.

You should leave your applications in the applications directory. You can drag an app to the dock for fast access but this is an alias pointer, the app itself remains in the apps directory. You can also use the four finger pinch gesture to start Launchpad to select apps.

We are not permitted to use certains apps that are either not in our data contract, touch the Cloud, or cause cost/personnel issues. I go through the motions of turning off every notification, update, share feature, etc. I can find but the icons are still on the phone. I just want them removed all together so I don't have to keep going through this and for those who can't fight temptation - they won't have to anymore.
