I have a new project -- should UIX or JSP be used?

I am concluding a UIX project now, and though I think UIX is a terrific idea, these factors have been what I've observed about UIX:
1) Few examples.
2) Lack of documentation (either online, or in print).
3) A very small set of functionality compared to tag libraries available in JSP.
4) Unable to get good support.
5) Feedback from others UIX experiences didn't seem very positive.
Then we have the ADF / JSF picture, which is going to be a reality very soon. My question is this: I have a new Oracle / JDeveloper project for a client starting immediately. What in your opinion is the best course of action with respect to the UI web technology? JSP? Or is UIX still the best way to go (and if so, I need solid reasons here) . Or, is it feasible to deliver now using ADF Faces (project is a 3 month project, and I can't be crippled by bugginess, if that's a possibility)?
My leaning is JSP, but I'm very interested in others' insight here.

I chose to push UIX (and ended up being chosen as the framework) for my most recent project. I've had mixed feelings about it... most of the things you've mentioned were also true to my experience. UIX seems to be great as long as you color inside the lines. But if you want to do anything advanced or customized then it starts getting very ugly. There's no source and virtually no documentation about concepts and internals. The best two guides out there are probably the ADF binding primer and the UIX developer's guide... but these still leave a lot to be desired.
However, to make a case for UIX over JSP, there is a lot of pre-built functionality that JSP doesn't have. The biggest reason I'm glad I chose UIX is PPR and their TABLE tag. There is mostly prebuilt detail disclosure, event handling, scrollable result sets, and single or multiple selection. Also, the page layouts are a nice shortcut and the templating engine is very powerful. And if you can put up with incompetent metalink support, very little help from the forums, and lots of time in google results and the debugger -- well there are some truly amazing features about UIX that could make it worth your while.
I personally think it really comes down to the requirements of your application. If it's a bigger app, the templating engine in cunjunction with pageLayouts can really simplify coding a consistent navagational interface and look/feel. You will probably benifit a lot from the functionality UIX offers. But it will be a headache if you're not an Oracle employee.
Just my two cents, for what it's worth. :)

The absolute best way to do this is to transfer your iTunes library from the old computer to the new one. You can find a numbr of ways to do that here.

If you want to spend the money for a computer application that will let you transfer all of the content from the iPad to iTunes - look at
Touchcopy
However, I have posted this many times over the past few months. If you follow these instructions you should be fine. This will transfer the purchased content from the iPad into iTunes on the Mac. You will still want to get your photo library and any CD's that you imported into iTunes on the new Mac. That is why transferring the iTunes library to the new Mac is the best way to go.
When you set up the new Mac - if you can import or migrate all of the PC content onto the Mac - this will all be a non issue, but I'm not sure how to bring all of your PC content onto the Mac. Going from an old Mac to a new Mac was a breeze, but I know nothing about transferring the content from a Windows PC.
The 3 basic things to remember - authorize the computer, (Launch iTunes on your computer and go to Store>Authorize this Computer) transfer purchased content and backup.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your Mac, start iTunes. Click on iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.

3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.

6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

It sounds like you want to setup your Airport Express to Airplay music from iTunes. I found an article with steps to help you get this setup:
Connecting to an existing Wi-Fi network, exclusively for iTunes music
AirPort Express used exclusively for AirPlay by setting it up in Client Mode.
Choose this configuration if the computer containing your iTunes library may be out of direct range of the AirPort Express, but is within range of the Wi-Fi network.
How to Set It Up
Connect your AirPort Express to your home stereo or powered speakers.
From your computer, join the wireless network. Use the AirPort status menu in the menu bar on a Mac. On a Windows-based computer, hold the pointer over the wireless connection icon until you see your AirPort network name (SSID), and choose it from the list if there are multiple networks available. Enter the network password, if necessary.
Open iTunes on your computer and choose the AirPort Express(es) you wish to stream music through from the speakers pop-up menu in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window.

Formatting will erase the drive.
You need to copy the photo's to either your old computer, the Mac Mini or to a new external drive and then decide what to do with your existing external drive.
For example: You could use one External drive for Photo's and one external drive for Time Machine to backup both your Mac Mini and the Photo drive.

You certainly could keep the old Mac Pro in Firewire mode (hold down the T key on its keyboard as you boot) to show its drives on the new MP. This is basically as fast as putting the drives into a Firewire enclosure.
Or you could boot it normally and share its files over the network using the Sharing panel of System Preferences. If you turn on both File and Screen Sharing, you don't even need to have a monitor attached - you can do all administration using screen sharing. However, this method requires that you open all files over the network, which will be slower than the direct-connect method above, and may also not work with all applications.

I have MTS files imported from a Canon HD cam. They import into I movie and I see them in the Finder folders and they preview fine. I have a new project and some of the clips are freezing and some audio is now gone? Do i need a file converter and convert

I have MTS video files that import from a Canon Vixia HF S20 HD camera. I imported into I Movie. They converted into MOV files and I see them in the movies folder in finder. They view fine and run through the events folder in Finder. In I Movie, I created a new project and used a "Theme". The project worked fine at first but then some clips started to freeze and some lost audio. The effected clips are the same in the project library and in the event library, meaning they are froze in both places. As I said when i view through finder the MOV files preview and work fine. Is this inherent to MTS files using in I movie. SHould i consider using a file converter to convert to MOV files prior to importing into I movie.
I found on Apple support site info that states the MTS files can only be imported through the camera. I am developing my back up procedures and now I am faced with backing up in the original MTS files but not being able to reload if necessary into I movie. Any suggestions?

I'd like to add that after I import these clips without thumbnails, iMovie does give me an error and say that they could not be imported. No explanation as to why, though. Again, they play fine on my camera.

Im trying to vinculate my mail accounts (the ones i used to have in the old one) to the new BB and it doesnt let me, it shows me a message telling me im putting the wrong mail or password.
I tryed to vinculate a new account that i didnt use in the old BB, and there was no problem.
So i dont know how to desactivate the vinculation of my mail accounts from the old BB for being able to use them in the new one.
