I have a new Window 7 version computer,  I cannot download Adobe Reader.  error 1316.A

I have a new Window 7 Version Computer.
When I try to download Adobe Reader.  I get an error 1316.A.  What
am I doing wrong.    Is this compatable with Widows 7?

It could be that the Adobe Acrobat trial came pre-installed on your machine.
Best thing to do is to go to add/remove programs, remove Acrobat (and Reader if it exists) then try your install again.
It also might be a good idea to run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility (I think they have a version for Win 7 anyway) and use it to remove any leftover pieces before trying the install.

  • I have a new windows 7 computer and I have downloaded the latest version of itunes. How can I populate my itunes music library from my ipod?

I have installed a new windows 7 computer (Dell) and downloaded the latest version of ITunes. How can I populate my music into ITunes from my I-pod classic?

    Hey AppleMacParker,
Thanks for the question. The following article may assist you in setting up syncing with your iPod:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12313
    Select items to sync automatically
    1. Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and select your device.
    2. Select the type of media you want to sync.
The types of media you can sync depends on your device. For more information, see Sync and organize iOS apps and Add photos to iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
    3. Select the Sync checkbox, and select the items you want to sync automatically each time you connect your device.
Click a button to select the kind of content you want to sync, then select the sync checkbox and select the items you want to sync automatically
The bar at the bottom of the window shows how much space will remain on your device after you sync.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • I have a new Windows tablet computer with limited hard drive space, and cannot transfer my itunes library to the hard drive. Can I run t media from an external hard drive? If so, how do I transfer my files?

I have a new Windows tablet computer with limited hard drive space (32 GB), and cannot transfer my itunes library to the hard drive. Can I run itunes from an external hard drive? I have tried to follow some of the directions on this site, but am having no success. Thanks.

iTunes will run fine with the media on an external drive.
However, I suggest that a tablet computer with a tiny hard drive is not ideal as the primary computer for managing an iTunes library, even a small one. If you have another machine, perhaps a big, boxy, inexpensive old desktop with a decent amount of storage, that might be a better choice.

    Hello, robertfromboulder city.
Thank you for the question.  You can direct iTunes to read your media off your external drive.  To do this, follow the instructions below.  See the section in the first article labeled Discovering and changing the iTunes Media folder location.

if you're using windows, click the start button>control panel>uninstall programs> and check for adobe acrobat and adobe reader.  don't uninstall anything if you find it.
but if you find no acrobat/reader run the cleaner (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then try and install adobe reader.

  • Cannot download Adobe Reader in Windows 7 on Dell computer

Whenever I try to download Adobe Reader, when I press "Finish" on installation, the Adobe logo takes over the whole computer and I cannot access any programme.  The entire taskbar becomes a series of Adobe logos and all programmes are preceded by the logo.
I cannot access anything and am forced each time simply to uninstall it again, and go back to Foxit Reader, but I really would prefer Adobe.  Adobe Flash Player works fine on the computer.  Can anyone help please?

    Hi penelopes6554204,
I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue.
Please try to download Latest version of Adobe Reader i.e Adobe Acrobat Reader DC using this link  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions & check if you still experience the same issue.

Does anyone know how i can download Adobe Reader on my new I Mac computer?  I get Step 1 and Step 2 done and then Step 3 takes me somewhere else.  I then close the
Safari browser and try to download the pdf.  I get a message saying that I need to agree to the end user's agreement and to re-download.  I try Step 1 and Step 2 and then i get a message saying that the download is finished.  I have tried downloading Adobe Reader many, many times and am tired and frustrated.  Apple one on one doesn't have a clue and says that the issue is with Adobe.  What gives?  I want to be able to continue with my life and not have to go back and buy a windows computer in order to use Adobe Reader.  HELP

I have never seen such a thing; where are you trying to download the Reader from?
Anyway, try this direct download http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.4.0/en_US/AdbeRdr940_en_US.exe

  • Cannot download adobe reader.  Have microsoft explorer version 8. pop up screen notes malicious item

Have Microsoft explorer 8.  pop up screen notes that there is either a
malicous item attached to the download or a malfunction with the web site.
Will not download for my protection.

Try downloading the installer without DLM from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.3/enu/AdbeRdr933_en_US.exe

  • I have a Mac OS 10.7.5 and downloaded Adobe Reader, accepted the end user license, and the screen is

is black when trying to open a document.   A pop up occurs and states to accept the end user agreement, which I did.

Download and install AppZapper (it's a free trial)
Launch AppZapper and drag the Reader app from yoru applications folder to the AppZapper window.
"Zap" it to the trash with all files in the window.
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the AdovePDFViewer.plugin file and the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin file.
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the Reader folder (the whole thing)
    Empty the trash
Download the offline installer and reinstall Reader
Double click the app in your Applications folder and accept the agreement.
    Reader should work after that.
