I have a number of audiobooks purchased through iTunes on my iPod touch.  Is there a way to move or download them to the Cloud so that I can access them on other devices?

I have a number of audiobooks purchased through iTunes on my iPod touch.  Is there a way to move or download them to the Cloud so that I can access them on other devices?

Thanks - I didn't realize that.  I'm also embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to transfer the audio files from my iPod to the iTunes library on my computer.  When I select a book from the list on the iPod, the only option I see with the right-facing arrow symbol is "Show in iTunes Store ".  I back the iPod up to this computer so I guess those files must be on it somewhere, but all I can recognize in the iTunes folder under " Music"  are the music files found in the "iTunes Music" folder. (There are also a ton of files named "iTunes Temp (some #).) The Books list on the computer shows some but not all of the audiobooks -  I purchased the rest on a different computer that is now unfortunately dead. I'm guessing now that those didn't transfer over when the new computer was populated from the old one, so the iPod may be the only place where those audiobooks now reside.  I hope that made some sense- any additional advice would be appreciated.

  • I have a terabyte of movies that I would like to put on a the cloud so that I can access them via iTunes anywhere.  The movies are almost all .avi.  I have tried to drag them to my iTunes on my laptop but have not been able to transfer 1 single file.

Can anyone help me import .avi movies to a cloud drive so that I can play them on my iPad when I'm traveling.  It is one of the only reasons I purchased the thing and I cannot figure out how to access my personal movie files from a "cloud" drive.

To get that much storage, you need to look to professional online services.  Pro-level hosting accounts may offer you that much (well, many will offer as much storage as you are prepared to pay for), or Amazon professional cloud services.  You could also store the files on a home machine and pay for a professional hosting service so you could stream them over your own account (assuming your ISP connection and agreement allows for the bandwidth used).  You would still need to deal with the issue of finding an app for the iPad that supported avi streaming.

Can I upload music I have on my pc not purchased thru iTunes to my iPod Touch?

Yes. You just have to have the music in your iTunes Library. It doesn't matter where it originated.

a single iTunes can be authorized for up to five iTunes store accounts (Apple IDs). a library thusly set up will sync content purchased with any of the five Apple IDs to any device.

  • HT1212 i have lost my ipod touch is there any way to get it back

i have lost my ipod touch is there any way to get it back. i had given pass code for my ipod touch

If you had turned on the find my iPod, and it is on and it is in range of an open wi-fi network, then you may be able to get an approximate street address.
Otherwise, you would have to look for it as you would anything else that you lose.

  • I have static on song not purchased through itunes?  Any help??

I have static only on the song I have not purchased through itunes. All itunes music plays fine? Has anyone else had this problem.

Well, I don't think you are alone. My iTouch is exhibiting a high frequency liek static scratching on imported from CD songs. It's very annoying to be experiencing this kind of issue on such an expensive music player.
Does your issue reside in the high end of the music? If so, please complainas much as possible to Apple. Mine and my wifes are doing the same thing, from two different PC's.

  • I am having trouble transferring an audiobook purchased through iTunes on my MacBook Pro to my iPad. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have an audibook that I purchased in iTunes on my MacBook Pro but cannot figure out how to sync it to my iPad. I would like to listen to the audibook on my iPad not MacBook Pro. Please help!!

Unfortunately, if you are using Safari on the iPad, you can't post a screen shot. You can with other browsers that will identify as a desktop browser, but not with Safari. Safari is so limited on the iPad and ironically, it is the worst browser that you can use on the Apple Support Communities help forum.
You can post a link to the screen shot if you use Photo Bucket or any cloud based photo site. In any event, if you don't see it in the More Tab, I don't know that the screen shot would help. It certainly wouldn't hurt though.
Are you sure that you selected the book to sync in iTunes?

  • I purchased movies through Apple TV at home. I then signed in to my itunes account on my ipad and the movies show up but they are listed as only accessible via icloud. How do I download them to my ipad so that I can view them on an airplane?

I purchased movies via Apple TV. I want to view them on my ipad. I signed in to itunes and see them on my ipad but they are only accessible via icloud. How do I download them to my ipad to view where there is no WiFi?

    Hi there apearsal,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’ve purchased movies with your Apple TV and want to know how to download those movies to your iPad, so that you can watch them later without a Wi-Fi network connection. Take a look at this article, it’ll walk you through the process of downloading purchases:

  • HT5085 I have 1700 songs on my old iPad 2 that I would like to upload them to my iCloud music file so that I can access them from my iPad 4 and my iPhone 5.

How can I load the songs out of my old iPad 2 in to the iCloud so that I can then access them from my newer iPad 4 and my iPhone 5? I have updated the iPad 2 software to the latest iOS available?

You can only subscribe to iTunes Match, and upload your music to it, from your computer's iTunes library - you can't do it from an iPad.
If they are iTunes purchases then you might be able to redownload them on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (and on your iPad 4 and iPhone via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store apps on them). For music that you got from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) then if it's no longer on your computer and you don't have it on a backup, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • I can't get my iPad to bring up my iTunes library. my iPod touch shows my whole library. I also download my  purchases from iTunes, but where is my whole library? I have backed up to iCloud... Or so I think.

I can't get my whole iTunes library to show up on my iPad. It does show up on my iPod touch. I have backed it up to i cloud as best I know how.
I can get my past purchases to show, but not playlists or CD's previously loaded.

Actually when you have created an ad hoc network using Internet Sharing your Mac is supposed to have a self-assigned IP.
What I suggest that you do is turn everything off on the Mac and tell the iPad to forget the Internet Sharing network, then restart the Mac and the iPad. Next slowly restart Internet Sharing on the Mac and when that is set up corectly try to connect to the network from scratch with the iPad. If you password protect your Internet Sharing network I suggest that you use the Other... option on the iPad; enter the network's name, select the correct protection scheme and finally enter the password and Join.
This issue should have nothing to do with your modem or router, this is all Mac and iPad.

  • How do I copy a movie I purchased in iTunes to my iPod touch 4?

I purchased Frozen from the iTunes store, and I want to copy it to my iPod touch, fourth generation.  Since I experienced a hardware failure on my iPod when I updated it to iOS 6 during the summer (and had to purchase a replacement for my specially engraved unit), I don't want to upgrade the iOS on my iPod at this time.  I am having real issues syncing my videos to my iPod: I have tried the "Add to" command in iTunes, and I have also tried the "drag and drop" method.  Neither works.  Can anyone offer other possibilities for me to try?

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
