You need to learn how to start an oracle database. The database does not start automatically if you're using the database that comes with the VM Manager.
ps -ef | grep pmon
will tell you if the database is running and mounted.
ps -ef | grep tns
will tell you if the database listener is running
OR
You could use 3.2.2 and use the MYSQL database that come with the VM Manager
OR
you could load the enterprise version of Oracle Database and use cluster services to automatically start and stop the database. You get a single use license with the VM Manger that allows you either use standard of enterprise edition of the Oracle Database.

I have a problem with connection (http), mention that I can connect with https protocol, to the Oracle VM Manager.
If I use "https://<IP>:7002/ovm/console" it works, and if I use "http://<IP>:7002/ovm/console" I receive the next message: "The connection was reset.."

http is on port 7001, not 7002.

OVM 3 manager Console doesnt load.. OVMAPI_6000E Internal Error

I had deployed OVM manager 3 in my environment.
I have a bunch of VMs running on the 2 OVS Servers which are managed by my OVM Manager 3 .
I was having some issues with Restarting VMs., and hence restarted the OVM Manager..
Now My Manager console wont come up for some reason.
when i type http://10.0.0.149:7001/ovm/console/ in the console, if would give me a 404 page not found error.

looking at other forum posts, i did a service ovmm stop / start
Now it could load the Console, but will fail at login and gives me the foll message..

Just succesfully installed the OVM 3.
everything was fine..
reboot the server,
then try to open console ..
after typing user name and password, its giving bellow error

Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found

In FB50 I was trying to post the following entries:
760100 (expense/cost element) Dr.     1000
100000 (petty cash account)                         1000
When posting (ctrl+s) the following error appears "Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found". At this point system stops the transaction and exits from that t.code. On expanding the error the following is displayed :
"Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found
Message no. KC051
Diagnosis
The system could not find the entry with the following key in the COKA float:
Object number = AO00000000000000108166
Cost element   = 760100
Origin group   =
System Response
An internal error has occurred. Processing stopped.
Procedure
Notify your system administrator."
We checked the table COKA and the above mentioned object no. was not found. So how is the system displaying this particular Object nu.?

we are having the same problem with PA objects in FI transactions. Object PA in COKA is different from object PA in COEP when we are posting.
Internal Error: KC051 Buffer not found.
Issue transactions are: F-02, FBB1, F110,... but curiously transaction F-01 works OK...
Any suggestions please? We don't know what we can do... we've checked all sustitutions and validations FI/CO but we don't find anything.

ORA-01041: Internal Error. HOSTDEF extension does not exist

In the database I provided with the commando
ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE; a trace file with the Script for the production my controlfile. Now I would like to test this Script. I have install a new test DB. Then I shutdown the database and renamed the control files - to see particularly over, which error message become there indicated. Afterwards I wanted to start the Script from the trace file to create a control file. But after I STARTUP MOUNT; in SQL*Plus entered, I become these error messages:
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file 'C:\Oracle\Ora920\DATABASE\INIT%ORACLE_SID%.ORA'
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
How have I understood, Oracle tries to find the init file local on my machine. Those lies however on the server. Then I entered:
startup pfile=\\server1\oracleserver\admin\orcltest\pfile\initorcltest.ora
Can I enter a file, which does not lie locally on my computer with the instruction STARTUP pfile =...? After I made that, I become only this error message:
ORA-01041 internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
And the database is closed. I can't connect with it.

As far as I know, if you want to start/stop Oracle through sqlplus you need to be using a copy of sqlplus on the server. If your server is an *NIX box, then you can telnet to the server and run sqlplus. If your server is windows then you will need something like VNC, PC-Anywhere or sneakernet to physically attach to the server.

Event 4776 Error Code: 0xC0000234 but account not actually locked out

I am coming across several instances where a user will get the error code 0xC0000234 for event 4776 and Failure Reason: Account Locked Out for event 4625 but the account never actually locks out. I cannot find a corresponding event 644 (windows 2003) or
4740 (Server 2008 and up) on any of our AD servers.
Any idea why this would register as an account being locked out, but not actually lock the account out?

Sounds a little weird to me.
Would you please check the account lockout policy, and post out the configured value for
Account lockout duration,
Account lockout threshold and Reset account lockout counter after?

If the Account lockout duration and Reset account lockout counter after settings are set too low, the account will be unlocked very quickly after it’s locked.

I've got this error in an application.
I can connect me by to the database by using SQL PLUS but when i want to launch the test of connectivity using this application, it's my error.
Could someone explain me why ??

Are your sure you use the same connect data, you use when connecting with SQL*Plus?
Do you use a tns connectstring or is it local and do you use environment variables (ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID).

Thank you for the question. Try uninstalling all components of iTunes in the order specified of the article below. Once this is done attempt to install iTunes again.

Internal Error in KPro (Overwriting object not permitted)

Dear all,
In a workflow, one of the steps is linked to an Excel form. Here on the form, user is required to fill up the form with necessary details (just purely text) and save it.
Now, it was reported by user that upon saving the file, which is already filled up, the error message above. This lead to logout from SAP. When they login again to process the WF at this step, the Excel form is blank, as in equivalent to a new excel worksheet. This is an intermittent problem. At the moment, unable to simulate it back.
Has anyone came across this before ?
Appreciate it, if anyone could shed some lights on this matter, thanks in advance.

I understand that the cleanipc command for cleaning up shared memory applies to unix only.
We are on Windows as I've mentioned.
I've read that there may be something using the saposcol -d but I've rebooted the server a few times so this should clean up any shared memory on windows.
