I have a PC. I would like to sync my iPad2 via itunes. My computer recognizes my iPad but itunes does not. I have deleted the itunes program, shut down my computer and restarted and then reinstalled itunes. I still have the same problem. Suggestions?

I visited the Apple store there is no problem with the iPad or the cord. I still have the same problem and am unable to sync when I plug in the iPad via the USB cord. Does anyone have further suggestions?
Try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if it'll work
If the computer sees your iPad you know the cable and connection is good, so the issue has to be software.

The reason why I ask, is because I have another laptop which I then installed iTunes on (this was to overcome the issue of the error message and reduce the risk of losing my music etc. on my first laptop). I cannot see any of my music on the second laptop, even when I attach my iPod. I authorised the second laptop to link but as I cannot open iTunes on my first laptop, I cannot access my music. I'm assuming iTunes accounts are only stored on individual laptops/PCs and cannot be accessed remotely?? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure what I can do.
Your iTunes library, media, playlists, and iOS device backups are safe. Please visitTroubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details. The steps in the second box should get iTunes back on track.

After installing itunes on my pc i get an error that says that i have to uninstall and reinstall itunes. I finally got it to down load and now it says that I need an upgrade. It's getting very frustrating as I've never had this kind of trouble.
What is the precise wording of the message that is appearing?

I also have a similar problem but not quite the same. First of all, let me give you the setup of the configuration:
-- Desktop PC OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
-- iTunes version: 11.3.1.2 (latest) for 64-bit
-- iPad Air with 3G/4G SIM slot
-- iOS version: 7.1.2 (11D257)
-- Several USB peripherals: Keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner.
What I want to do is to sync my iPad with iTunes (NOT to charge it via USB). However, I get a strange behaviour 99% of the time (I will talk about the 1% later). The behaviour is the following:
1. I connect the iPad to any USB port of my PC. My desktop PC is a new one, substantially "beefed up".
2. The iPad changes continuously from "Charging" to "Not charging" and vice versa all the time (the change of "charging states" happens roughly every 2 seconds).
3. While doing that, iTunes changes state from recognizing the iPad to "not identifying it properly". It suggests that I disconnect and reconnect it again. No matter how many times I do that, it never does any good.
4. Eventually I get an error (error code: 0xE8000084) but the change of "charging states" goes on and on.
5. During this time I was checking the Windows Device Manager. When the iPad was at the "charging" state the "Apple Mobile Device USB" appeared under the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section of the Device Manager. When it was not charging, the "Apple Mobile Device USB" disappeared.
6. Even in the case the iPad was charging the "Portable Devices / Apple iPad" entry didn't appear in the Device Manager.
I have read all the posts about the particular error code and about the connectivity issues with iTunes. However, no matter what I have tried I haven't resolved my problem yet. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes according to Apple instructions. Rebooted my PC while removing all the other USB peripherals. I stopped and restarted the AMDS service. I hard rebooted the iPad. I switched USB cables. I even tried to sync my iPhone 5S in case it was an iPad problem. All has failed. Even the iPhone has the same behaviour.
NOW, about the 1% I was talking before.
If the iPad is completely charged to 100% (99% is not enough) the problem disappears. During the time that the battery is at 100% the iPad is not charging and at the same time all is fine with iTunes. The problem reappears when the battery goes to 99%.
I don't remember having this problem a few months back. Any ideas? -
Well, I put my whole question into the title. I have one old backup that is about 3.5g and I would like to restore just some on its content and then delete the rest to free up storage. I am a new user of icloud and find it difficult to access my content that is backed up.
If I restore all 3.5g backup to my iphone won't it create duplicates, restore old settings and configurations, and use up a lot of space. I really don't want any settings or config. to change or revert back to the old back up. I would like to restore photos, notes, voice memos, and videos I created with my iphone camera.I wished I had known this before I said yes to using icloud. I guess those things will be lost and gone forever, since I do not want to lose my present settings and data. Also do not want to go through the hassle of backing up present, then resetting phone, then restoring oldest back up, then backing up oldest backup to pc, so I can safely backup selected items to my pc; then reset my phone again to restore latest back up. It would take way too much time and no guarantee.
I backed up my phone to my pc, but have not checked it yet, so don't know if it worked.
If I decide to quit using icloud (which will probably happen since backing up to external hard drive allows me to open backups) what will happen to my present data and settings? Will they just remain as they were without icloud, as they were before icloud? I'm scared to just delete it; not knowing what will happen. Also why is icloud now my outgoing mail server, when my web email was before I installed icloud and how do I restore my web email as my outgoing mail server. I am using yahoo/at&t for all my mail.
What will happen to my contacts, notes, messages, voice memos, calendar info, alerts, etc., on my phone if I delete icloud? -

When I plug in my iPhone to my computer, the computer recognizes the device, but my iTunes no longer does. As far as troubleshooting goes, I've restarted the phone, iTunes, and the computer. I have also plugged in my iPhone to my another computer and it shows up on iTunes on the second computer. The next thing I have read says to completely uninstall iTunes and reinstall, but I'd like to keep that as my last resort. I did however plug in my iPod and my iTunes does recognize that. If the problem was with iTunes itself, wouldn't it not recognize either device? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
It does so have the capabilities to be seen on your PC, I do it all the time to move my pictures from my phone to the PC and I have the iPhone 4s

Disconnect your devices then reboot your computer.
Before connecting your devices again reboot your devices. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
How do I delete playlists on my ipod nano (6th gen.) when I am in itunes??? I right-click and it won't give me an option to delete.

I have my contacts button turned on in the Mac and the IPad, but the cloud is not updating my contacts list. It does update my caldendar so I know that part is working. How do I get the contacts to update on the ICloud?
Perhaps by verifying that you are using "icloud group" of your contacts on pad and mac.
Open contacts and see if icloud is your default. -

No you cannot. Each device can only be synced with one photo library - Aperture or iPhoto.
You could however merge the two libraries, if you need to sync with photos from both libraries. -
