I have a pre-App Store version of Logic. Is there any way I can switch over to the App Store version?
I'm trying to install Logic Pro on my new MacBook Air, and without a drive, it's going to take more work to install. I own the latest version, but I still need the discs to install from. Is there some way I can "upgrade" to the App Store version so installing now, and in the future, is easy to do without an external drive?

In addition to Niel's answer.....
Just wait until the next major version of Logic becomes available (whenever that might be) and then when you pruchase that from the App Store, the issue of there being two different versions of Logic 9, will be over as everyone will have to purchase the new version via the App Store.

No, you can't update your 2G iPast past iOS 4.2.1. The graphics hardware on the 2G does not support the latest Open GLS.
Yes, there are not that many apps that still works with a 2G with 4.2.1. -

Apple usually offers a refund one time. You need to decide if this purchase is the one that you wish to use that one-time refund with.

PowerPC applications are unsupported in newer versions. You can upgrade Photoshop or you can install Snow Leopard in a partition.
1. Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and select your drive
2. Go to Partitions tab, press + button, create a new partition and press Apply
3. Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD and reboot pressing C key
4. Install it in the new partition
5. If you want to change boot, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select 10.7 -
I have moved all of my movies from "Search for - All Movies" folder thinking they were shortcuts to the trash folder by mistake. Is there any way I can restore them to the right place on my system Note most are on an external hard drive.
You can drag them out of the trash folder to wherever you wish. There is no automatic way to restore them.
If you have a recent backup of your computer (at the risk of preaching, everyone should have one), restore them from there.

If you can't remember the Passcode, you need to restore the device from the computer it was last synced with.
Follow the instructions for putting the device in recovery mode > iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
If you are a resident of the U.S., have iTunes 10.3 or later installed, and iOS 4.3.3 or later, can re download iTunes purchases for free.
So retore the iPod, then re download the iTunes media.

You can only transfer music purchased from the iTunes store to your computer, and this is done using itunes (File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If the music you want to tranfer is associated with an app, unless the app specifically can share files with iTunes or sync them with iCloud, the music would only be stored as app data in your backup. If it is stored in the backup, you would have to restore the entire backup to your other device in order to transfer the music. If it shared with iTunes you may be able to save it to your computer from within iTunes. If it is synced with iCloud, you could access it using the same app on your other device by signing into the same iCloud account.
Since there are clearly a variety of ways that it could be transferred depending on the app, you should contact the app developer to ask how this is done with their app. -
My I phone4 was taken. there is no tracking because Apple told me it was to hold to support the tracking system. Is there any want thatone could track it by the serial number by posting it with apple and if someone trys to reactivate it and registers my number it can be notified that the devise was stolen? No. Apple does no tracking of lost or stolen devices.
If you set up the Find My iPhone service prior to your iPhone going missing, something which your iPhone certainly would support - any device that can run iOS 5 or later can - then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPhone is turned on, connected to either the 3G or a WiFi network, or has not had the Find My iPhone service disabled or the iPhone been completely restored). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. If you did not set up Find My iPhone, check with your cell carrier. Some carriers offer their own tracking service, though you usually have to pay for it.
If your carrier does not offer such a service and you did not set up Find My iPhone, then there is no way to track the unit. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPhone (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Is there any way to get a list of the apps installed on my phone through MyVerizon?
I am going to be upgrading in a few days, and I want to obtain a list of all the apps I have installed, so that I can cull out the ones I don't use much or at all.
Is there a list on the MyVerizon website anywhere of what's installed on my phone??If you have an android phone, you can log into your Gmail account on the Play Store website and see which applications are installed and downloaded at one time. You can also see the same installed list in the Play Store app on the phone.

I have a xD-PictureCard (SD Card) that works in a picture frame. I have used it in the past on a Windows computer, now having an apple I want to change the pics and cannot. When I reload the discs for Mac they won't install. Is there anything I can do to put the pics on the SD card, I don't want to throw away the picture frame it cost a lot of money.
This should be perfectly possible and without loading any software at all.
Get a Card Reader for the XD card, and plug it into the Mac. It will then appear on the desktop. Drg the files to the Card. Make sure you keep the folder structure used on the Card - don't change that.
