PowerPC applications are unsupported in newer versions. You can upgrade Photoshop or you can install Snow Leopard in a partition.
1. Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and select your drive
2. Go to Partitions tab, press + button, create a new partition and press Apply
3. Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD and reboot pressing C key
4. Install it in the new partition
5. If you want to change boot, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select 10.7

When you purchase an HD video on a supported device or computer, only HD video will be downloaded. To download the SD version, you need to download the video again from your Purchased page. Conversely, if you purchase an HD video on an unsupported device, the SD version will be downloaded. Then, you will need to download the HD version from your Purchased page. Only the contents of the most recent sync remain on the iPad, so if you want to sync multiple folders then you need to sync them in one go - in which case the folders will need to be directly off the same parent folder (otherwise they can't all be selected). Not including a folder in a subsequent sync is the way by which you delete them off the iPad. More info on photo syncing http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

My 2008 Macbook froze (though iTunes kept playing), and wouldn't turn off, so I had to take the battery out to turn it off. However, it is not turning on. The battery was in condition of "needs to be replaced soon", but is there any way I can start it up?

Last night, I was listening to a podcast, and my Mac froze. The mouse would not work, and neither would any of the buttons, but the podcast continued to play as if nothing was wrong. I tried to turn it off and on with the power button, but it did not respond. I had to take out the battery and put it back in.
However, the Mac is no longer starting up. The battery was old, and needed to be replaced soon. Because I have three important exams next week, and I have all of my notes on that device, I was wondering if there was a way to get the Macbook to work again, without taking the time to replace the battery? I've tried plugging it in, but it doesn't seem to charge.

Is there any way I can use bi beans without the patches

I am a Chinese student,I am doing some research on OLAP.
I'm in the initial stages of evaluating BI Beans for my research. We have previously not used Oracle in house.
In attempting to use BI Beans, the first thing you must do is install the latest patches against the Oracle database. Unfortunately, the patches are only available for people with a suport contract.
Is there any way I can get these patches without a support contract, or is there any way I can use bi beans without the patches?

You must have a valid support contract to access Metalink. You could try contacting your local support centre and ask if they could make the patches available to you.

My Ipod touch is set to manually manage music. I have put music from my computer and iTunes account onto it, and music from other people's computer and iTunes accounts on it. Unfortunately I dropped my iPod and the screen cracked. It still plays music and everything just fine, but it has problems with it's battery life so I'd like to just get a completely new iPod nano. Is there any way I can transfer all the music from my iPod touch onto a new iPod nano? From what I can tell it won't let me sync any of the music on my iPod touch that is from other people's computers onto my laptop, and so I wouldn't be able to put it on a new iPod nano. Hopefully that makes sense. I'd just really really like to be able to keep all that music and not lose 2/3 of my iPod touch music library because I want to put it on a newer Ipod.

You'll have to get a new one from your carrier. I believe the shipping instructions for mail in service explicitly tell you to take it out as you will most likely not receive the same phone back. Apple doesn't repair most phones, they replace them.

If they are still in your iTunes library, the answer is "yes", you can resynch to get them back.
If they are not in your iTunes library, and no longer on the iPod, I do not believe they cannot be gotten back easily. You might be able to have someone see if they are still on the disk, but that can be $$$. This is why the ITunes library should be viewed as the primary repository of music, even if you need to purchase an external hard drive or two to have the music and a backup.

No, it doesn't store a clone. You would have needed to make one with either SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner.
If the files were in your ~/Library folder then they may still be there. As I said, you can access it by
going to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". I wouldn't think an upgrade would overwrite anything in ~/Library.
If you have a Time Machine backup you may also be able to use that to retrieve them.
