I have a printer failure that I cannot get past

Error reads like this: These solutions have been repeated several times over the last few hours....I am ready to throw this through the window. I have had nothing but problems with MY PRINTER< you know the one I purchased with cash and I do not want someone telling me where I HAVE TO PURCHASE MY INK, AND IF I DO NOT PURCHASE A CERTAIN KIND FROM A CERTAIN PLACE FOR AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE, THEN I GET THESE MESSAGES THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER 25 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. I AM SO DONE WITH THIS STUFF. SO DONE WITH IT. Printer FailureThere is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on again. If problem persists, contact HP. (This did not work) Solution 1-Reset the product. Turn off the product, then unplug the power cord. Plug the power cord back in and then press the ON button to turn the product on. (This did not work) Solution 2-Contact HP Support. Write down the error code provided in the message (there is none), and then contact HP Support. Go to www.hp.com/support This is the second time I have had this happen in the last 10 days. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer 10 days ago and it was working fine. The for no reason tried to use it about midnight last night and have been working every since then trying to just be able to print a simple 2 page document.I purchased this printer with cash. I DO NOT buy your ink because it is too expensive and you should not be able to make this printer NOT work because I get my ink someplace else. It is MY PRINTER and if I want to put food color in it and use that for ink, it is mine and I should be able to do that. (of course I am not stupid enough to do such a thing, but that is not the point). I have had this same nightmare over and over and over again every since making the purchase a little over 2 years ago or so.So, this error is on 3 different screens and I press DONE and it takes me back to first screen and starts over again. The software says it is installed and ready. The whole thing from my laptop back to the printer looks solid, as if it will work like a dream (which is what I am doing). I have had no sleep, I am disabled, caring for a disabled dog to boot.Hey, I need this error message off this thing so I can print this document and get it ready to mail before the mailman run this morning.I am not a seasoned printer/computer guru. I know very little about any of it. I struggle with this one item over and over and over again. I am tired of this whole thing and ready to get my hammers out and take care of it. Need help now. Thanks. I have already taken a chill pill, so you can imagine how excitable I woudl be otherwise.

I have two apple accounts that I cannot get to merge. One is a hotmail address and the other a gmail address as primary addresses in the two accounts. I would like to merge them into one account. I cannot verify the addresses of either accounts because when I do it will say that the address already exists. Therefore I can't get them to merge.

Me.com and hotmail are under the same account., but when I log into me.com some of the accounts turn into the hotmail account. I do not use hotmail anymore and use gmail regularly.

If these are both used as Apple IDs, then they cannot be merged. If they are just two email accounts of which you only wish to use one, then you would need to transfer the data you want to save from one to the other. Since the data are just email you would need to look for a way to export it from one email address as a file compatible with what the other can import.

Thank you for your reply, sorry for the VERY late late response, but I have just figured out how to control this separate 'panel'. I find it really useful for monitoring Google Analytics in as it can just sit there running. It does have its limitations, as it's a limited size (you can't expand it to full screen view), so you can only ever see a vertical section of a website and need to scroll to look to the right or left, but I have the live view of people accessing my website running on there and if the numbers start racking up at any time, I can scroll to look and see what pages they are accessing, where they've been referred from, etc.
To get it to work, you save a website address in the Bookmarks Toolbar and when you can see it sitting on the toolbar at the top of the screen with its little icon, right click on it then click 'properties', then tick the box 'Load this bookmark in the sidebar'. The next time you click on this bookmark to open the website, it will load in this sidebar, which looks like a separate 'window' but is immovable. You can only have one sidebar application running at a time, but can change it by right clicking on the bookmark you want to load in there and it will then change to that one next time you click on that bookmark.
I hope this might be useful to others, as I asked for help with this on loads of forums and not one person knew that this existed - even really skilled techies!

Even if it was compatible, AirPrint does not work through a USB link, only Ethernet or WiFi.
I do not see your HP 4500 listed on Apple's list of AirPrint compatible printers. <iOS: AirPrint 101> Therefore you need to take another approach. To start, I suggest you download the free HP App, ePrint Home & Biz. It has limitations, but should get you printing with your existing setup.
There are other printing Apps with more features such as Print n Share and PrintCentral, but they can only be accessed from within other Apps that have the "Open In" option.
Your best option may be to share your computer's printer as AirPrint over WiFi. Programs that are reported to do that well are Printopia and FingerPrint. Your computer must be on and awake any time you want to print. <Printopia for Macintosh> <FingerPrint for PC and Mac>

When you see the old number come up in the suggested choices look for a blue arrow to the right of the Contact. Tap the blue arrow and then tap Remove from Recents.

Open the file in Preview and select "Save as..." from the File menu. Select "Reduce File Size" from the Quartz Filter menu and save. The size probably won't be reduced enough, though. You may have to split the file into several parts and mail them separately. Or upload it to a web server and send the link.

Make sure you are signed into the iCloud ID you are using on the iPod when you attempt to locate it, and that it has a good wifi connection. If these are correct and you are and it still says it's offline, turn Find My iPod off on it, then after a minute or so turn it back on. Then see if you can locate it.
