I have an iPad 1 and have had no major problems with it til now. I want to continue using it, I use it for many things and it would suck if it stoped working because of something IDK about. My first and only apple product.
The charger cable (That came with it) finally broke. The wires just came apart and it wasn't salvagable. I had an Ipod cord here that a friend left and plugged it into the original port (The one that was working fine with original charger and came with ipad). It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

I can view my pictures taken but that's it.

ok, 2 days of trying and i'm pretty tired of this.
I've trying to get rid of my "Kerberos is stopped" status in my Open Directory. First I thought the problem with my setup but then, yesterday, I tried to install Mac OS X server on VMware Fusion, and I got kerberos running right away. I thought I was lucky, so I reformat the virtual disk and reinstall Leopard server, it worked again, and the same thing for the third time.
Then, I went back and to my Mac mini and install Leopard server on it, setup DNS, then OD. Right after I change my OD to master, I see kerberos is stopped. I'm pretty sure that my setup procedure was perfect as I followed the Lynda's server training video, and had 3 success on VMware but not on my Mac Mini. I reinstall and same thing happened "Kerberos is stopped", and again and again. All fresh install.
Anybody know why?
Also, my Mac Mini is 2009 model and I have to follow this guide to get my Leopard Server disc to work on the Mac Mini.

It was that article I was searching for when I noticed the article you linked to came up in the search results, which prompted me to notice the extra clause at the end.

Also, just FYI, I recently setup two servers for clients similarly to how you did yours (install server on top of regular OS). I had HEAPS of trouble due to irregularities in the config files, e.g. imapd.conf. So, be watchful. -

I'm burning dvd's that won't play on a regular dvd player. What am I doing wrong? They play fine on computers but not on dvd players. Are there some simple things to check to figure this out? (Sorry, I know this has been asked many times). Created in DVD studio pro.

Just my thoughts to add to the excellent answers above.
• BRAND of DVD used - Matters when doing Video-DVDs
Memorex, NoName etc cheap brands usually do NOT work
I only Use Verbatim (more organic dye in these)
• Type of DVD - matters
- DVD+/RW - usually results in problems
- DL-DVDs are more problematic than SL-DVDs
- DVD+R are a more modern sort - BUT PLAYS BADLY or not at all on older DVD-players
I only use DVD-R
• BURN SPEED - matters
- Best in iDVD app - IS NOT BEST at all but results in lot's of Burn Errors = Doesn't play well or at all
I set this down to x2 or x4 max.

Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
I loaded my ipad photos from camera and all the pictures sorted by date. I later sync my ipad with my computer and the photos were all reorganized into IMPRT folders an out of date sequence. Any idea how to put the photos back into date files other than reloading all of them from camera?
What version of iPhoto?
Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing. Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

If Lion isn't showing in the About this Mac window, then you need to install it. All the Mac Apple Store does is put the installer into /Applications. You need to run it, but before you do, make a copy and put it somewhere else, since the stupid installer deletes itself during the installation process, forcing another obnoxious and lengthy download if you ever need to reinstall it.
