I have a problem and need help

Hi everyone, I am a flash noob and I have a problem I hope you can help me with. I have a interactive haunted house im working on (www.chuckies.webs.com) and I have a script (actionscript 2) that works with the mouse. it scrolls the screen left and right with the movement of the mouse. it works wonderful but my problem is that everytime I go to the edge of the flash movie it doesnt stop, I get black background that shows. is that a settings issue? i have the flash html settings as 100% when exported. I will post pictures here in a bit, i was just hoping if somebody knew off the top of there head what the problem was. Thanks in advance. and I hope im posting to the correct forum, if not please tell me.

Hi I just wanted to update this post and tell everyone what the problem was. I changed the "scale" settings under publish settings to "exact fit" and lined up my movie up to the upper right corner and it works like a charm and the black border is gone on the sides.
I also included this code in the body of my html page which removes the 10mm border on top and bottom of the web page. any questions just ask.

I have a problem and need help to proceed plz

I'm working in all of the latest software.
Long story short. Itunes is on my startup drive but I had my music folder on a larger external HD.
It was selected in the prefs as the default media folder location.
Unfortunately, the external HD with my music folder crashed / died.
So now when I launch itunes and try to play a song i get the original file could not be found. I also see at some point that my default location for media has changed back to the default location in itunes and about 1/4 of my 9000 songs are in that folder on the startup drive.
Now I was able to recover my music folder that was on the external drive through Time machine thankfully and it is on another internal drive.
My question is this.
I want to move the original external Music folder to a larger external drive and combine the music folder that ended up on my startup drive holding the 1/4 amount of content and keep all media on that new large external drive. How should I proceed to get this all working in itunes and avoid a bigger problem than I already have, multiple listings, cover art, ect.

this is wht i would do:
1) option drag the folder containing the music files from the external A to an open iTunes window. this will cause iTunes to index the path to the original file (on external A) but not copy the files "physically".
same tab, be sure +keep iTunes media folder organized+ and +copy files to+ ... are checked.
2) connect external B (the larger drive) to your Mac. point iTunes to that drive via preferences > advanced.
3) in iTunes, go file > library > organize library and check +consolidate files+. hit ok.
now all files known to iTunes will be copied to the external B. when finished, the "original" files may be deleted (or kept as a back up).

Have an 8800 and need help

Hi,
I have an 8800 and need help. The charger socket doesn't work anymore, the trackball doesn't go horizontal (occassionally) and the screen light turns on and off at random. I've had my Blackberry less than a year.
Before sending it in for repair or replacement I need to back up all my data (apparently it gets cleared when a repair is done) so ordered a cradle and spare battery so I cound charge a batter externally. To compound the problem I keyed in the wrong postcode on the order (it never rains but it pours) but quickly mailed billing to tell them and with the correct PO number.
Needless to say the items haven't arrived so I called and was fobbed off and told that this is a matter for their partner Globalware Solutions even though I paid via the Blackberry.co.uk website
I've scoured the site and found no contact details whatsoever by which I can follow this up properly (Why do large companies do that? Are their customers not important enough to them to allow direct contact?).
Rim/Blackberry/Globalware now have my money and have ignored all my emails. In other words I have no way of finding out the status of the order, what's happening or where my required items are.
On top of that one of the email addresses I mailed to bounced and this site is a nightmare to use. If you're going to want a capital letter and a number of part of a password to access a forum then tell people in advance. If you're not going to let someone buy in Euros from the UK because you don't consider the UK as part of Europe then tell them. Don't let them go through the entire purchase process before letting them get to the Euopean drop down list of countries and then not including the UK in it. I could go on.
Can someone please tell me how I chase up my order (it's only a small one) without wasting too much more time on this.
I have to say that this is all a great shame because I've been happily using Blackberries for years now and think they're superb products. I've been an evangelist for them actively spreading the word about how great they are. I've never needed service or support before though.
If anyone from Blackberry, Rim or Globalware is reading this then you have my order number and just an email would at least begin to resolve this. The delivery of the items paid for would entirely resolve it. I wait for your contact.
One thing you should know if you wish to continue to ignore me though is that I am 'Mr Persistent'.

Thanks. I remember now that is exactly what they said. Which means I need to do it over again.
Here's what happened. I went to my laptop to try restoring since it was my desktop that was giving me the message. I was able to install the newest OS onto my iPhone. Then I reconnected the phone to my desktop, which now gave me a different message. It said it could not sync with this iPhone until I updated to the newest version of iTunes. I was one version behind.
So I updated and then since my iPhone had the newest OS and iTunes had the newest version, everything spoke to each other fine. At that point I got the message asking me to whether I wanted to restore from backup or set up as new.
I thought that restoring from backup would potentially bring back the problem, but discretion being the better part of valor decided to try that first.
Woke up this morning to your message and of course now realize that I must go through the process again, only this time set up as new. And yes I made sure to back everything up before I did any of this.
So now it's just a matter of doing it again, which will have to wait until tonight when I don't need to use my phone.

I was injured/blown up by a suicide bomber in Iraq. I have a brain injury. I am no longer the sharpest knife in the draw. My brain does not follow along like it used to, and I need someone with some patience to help me go through some Adobe proucts to that I may learn them, and yes.. I can learn them... if someone will help me. The tutorials are exceedingly difficult/impossible for me to follow and make my head want to come from together.

I am have permission problems and need urgent help!

I am running ppc G5 dual 2gig with Tiger 10.4.11. I must say that ever since I upgraded to this version from 10.4.10 my system somehow has been behaving poorly. Ist my network settings went weird in the fact that the PC (running XP service Pack 2) stopped communicating with the G5 saying that it had no access permissions.
At the time I had Michael Horns SharePoints programme on the mac handling which hard drives I wanted to share over my network. I eventually took this off as I thought this might be the problem.
I went back to my Network set up on the G5 which had been working previously and tried the network setup Diagnostic tool which told me that from the G5 end it could see the PC and the internet through my BT Broad band Voyager 220V.
At this point I clicked the pad lock icon to save the settings. Now when I want to go back in to change the settings I can't. For the simple reason that it won't respond to the password or my Name. I have tried changing the password in the Accounts section of my system Preferences it allows me to seemingly do this but tells me that as my Key chain is locked it wants my current Password and Name which it is not responding to so I am going round in circles.
As a last desperate attempt I logged out and rebooted using my Tiger System disk, went into the Change the password section and did so. There it appeared like it was allowing me to change the password at which point to be extra safe I repaired the permissions on my home drive which again said it was repairing the permissions to the new user name and password so I thought at this point I was going to be all right after it gave me the green light to tell me that my permissions and disk verification were ok. I rebooted my mac and went into my system prefs, tried to open the padlock in the network settings as before only to come across the same problems.
Something is corrupt i guess. Do I need to reload Tiger and if so anything in the reloading part of the process which asks me for my name and password is going to screw me up as I am afraid the system won't accept it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ! And Many Thanks ahead of time.

phone has passcode and is not wanntig to restore and have forgotten the passcode. i dont have the original computer i was using so i followed the forums and i am back were i have started.

All you can do is follow the instructions in the article you have attached to your post. Follow the instructions under "If you have never synced your device with iTunes", since you have never synced with iTunes on the computer you are attempting to restore it on.
We can do no more to help you here. The article tells you exactly what you need to do.

I have a big problem and need help.

I was trying to delete some files when I got a message that said that one of the files contained a program that was running. I close out the program and deleted the file but something happened. I closed out Windows Explorer and notices all my desktop and taskbar icons were gone and replaced by the Adobe Reader icon. I tried to run Google Chrome and it tried to open it with Adobe Reader. I then deleted Adobe Reader to see it that would fix the problem it didnt. Instead when I tried to run Google Chrome the second time it pulled up a window telling me to choose a program to open it with. I'm stuck and dont know what to do. The only program I can open is Windows Explorer now. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have 2 computers and need help with ITunes I'm New!

I recently bought an iPod mini and have downloaded the iTunes to put music onto my iPod. This is on my main computer. Now I want to carry all of these songs over into my library which is empty onto my labtop and continue to put songs onto it. I have already downloaded iTunes for my labtop and everytime I go to plug in my iPod, iTunes opens automaticly and this message appears The iPod is linked to another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library? I click no and this is wear I am at. If you understand could you please help me. Thanks

If you want to use the iPod with more than one computer, you need to change to manual transfer as outlined here.

Still having navigation problems and need help with how to debug

I've been porting over a servlet project to JSF and I'm still having navigation problems. I thought the problem might have been because the original project used HTML frames and so the "from-view-id" JSP defined the frame/framesets and the specific JSP that does the submit (and so is named in the "from-view-id" is never defined in a "to-view-id" attribute). I've now switched to using an IFRAME, and that resolves that problem. So now the JSP is defined in a "to-view-id" attribute and it includes an named IFRAME that can be used as a target. I press the submit button and I get not the JSP expected butinstead the same JSP displayed inside its own IFRAME.
Here is the code for the submit. I've simplified it as much as possible with a static action (originally it was a call to a method) just to try and get things to work. This is the current version:

After decades, I finally gave up on Microsoft and bought a MacBook Pro. However, for work, I still have to use Microsoft. When I try to edit a Word Document in any way a screen pops up saying Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close; gives me an option to recover my work and restart Word; when I click that option Word restarts but I alway lose my work. This just started; before it was working fine. Help?

In addition to the above I also recommend Apple's Pages ($19.99). All of these options allow you to open, edit, and save Word-formatted documents and spreadsheets. I use OpenOffice and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for over a year now. Life is better without Microsoft.

I bought the Apple airport router I installed it with the provided disc and that same day my iTunes would not come up. I figured that my music files somehow were corrupt and that shi_ happens. Well a week later I was having troubles with the Apple router so I returned it and uninstalled it from my program files C drive. Then I gave iTunes another shot and it opened. Weird, I know. Well my next router was a Net gear it worked fine but it lagged on COD4 while online with my PC, so I returned it. Then I bought a Belkin - N1 Vision Wireless-N Wireless Router and it did not come with an install disc just plug and play. That very same day my iTunes gave me that **** error again. This time I can’t try to uninstall it from my program files because it was plug and play. I already tried to do a system restore and I shut down my PC and start it back up without the router plugged in and still no luck. I also tried to repair iTunes and that didn’t work. I went to the Geek Squad and they tell me the two issues can’t be related (a router not allowing my iTunes to run). My computer is running on Windows XP Pro. I’m now playing my music through Windows Media Player. I’m in ****!!!! Can someone please help me!!!!! I also tried a few things on iTunes support and they didn’t work. Checking on things that can cause QuickTime launch errors and install/uninstall errors now.
Have you at any stage installed an ACE or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, any copies of the programs QT Alternative, QT Lite or Storm Codec, or any media converter programs that can convert files into QuickTime readable formats?
(I'm checking on these things because depending on the versions of the programs/codec-packs, these can install earlier versions of QuickTime componentry on a PC, which can interfere with the running/installing of a higher version of QuickTime.)

Alright so basically, my parents got a buy-one-get-one-free offer on webcams at christmas, and so they gave me one for my own as i lost my old one. Everything was working fine, seemed like a great camera.
However, randomly one evening when i tried to open Live! Cam Center to record a video, it refused to open, instead giving me a small white box with the loading symbol inside (thats where live! cam center usually opens out into the UI) and a boz saying "LiveCam.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.".
Now i thought that it was just a random one-off thing, but it happens EVERY time, WITHOUT fail. The cam works fine on MSN and skype etc, just when i try to record anything or manually take pictures , cam center doesn't work. And it doesn't seem to just be cam center, almost every software i've tried for just plain recording/capturing failed.
Tried updating to latest drivers and software, tried using older versions, tried using the cam from my family pc (identical cam) - failed, tried using all different USB ports randomly, failed. I'm really desperate here now, i'm at the point where i'm almost going to give it away and buy a non-creative webcam cos its really annoying.
My webcam is the Live! Cam Video IM Pro. Here's a copy of the error report from windows, its the same every time:

See if there are any Crash Reports ID's saved.
Type '''about:crashes''' in the Location Bar and hit Enter.
Then open each Crash Report and once the report is loaded completely, copy and paste the URL of each report into the the '''''Post as Reply''''' box in this thread.
IMO, seeing that you are using WinXP, you might be better off with the older Flash 10.3.183.90 version. Flash 11.0 and later have "improvements" that don't work on WinXP - only Vista and later. Adobe did continue to support and provide security updates for Flash 10.3 until a few months before WinXP went EOL back in April of this year.

When I try to use a crystal report version 10.0 to querry from two data source at same time, I got following error:

I have a 8.5 version crystal report and it works just fine.
The two data source are:
MS access2003 DB and Sage Mas90 DB.
I have tried on server 2003 and window XP. none of them works.
Any help is appreciated.

Reporting off 2 datasources should work in CR10.
I would suggest the following;
1) Check the version of CR10 and apply SP5 if necessary
2) Try using different connection methods, if you are using a native connection try odbc for example
Possible workarounds woulr be to use a main report > subreport
or
In Access create a linked table to Mas90
