    I tried the free subscription. I liked the version CC. Recently bought a full subscription (to mail the letter with proof of payment), but the lists of subscriptions on my profile anyway worth "Free Trial" and the app CC offers to download demo versions of software, and when any of them offers start a trial period or a serial number, which I do not know. What's the problem, can anyone explain? Sorry bad English

  • I would like to upgrade to the next step, but because I have many problems with the version 10.4.11, I'm worried that upgrading would create more problems.

    Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning.  The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop.  They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location. 
    This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration.  However, I did the best I could.  What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash.  As I said, this was a misunderstanding.  I was left feeling devastated at what had happened. 
    Since then, my iMac Intel Core Duo has been running on its last legs.  I'm surprised I can even get to my email.  As far as using the software that I bought with my iMac, I can't.  I just do the basics.
    What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level.  However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have.  Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse? 

    It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better.  I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does.  Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
    If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

  • I have strange problems with logging into Itunes. How do I fix them?

    After resetting my Apple ID's password which I haven't used in a few years, I logged in on the Itunes store. For some reason, it says it is my first time using my ID with Itunes Store, even though I have done so in the past. Then, it asked me to review my information, and the page just showed I had to put in my password. So I did that, and I pressed the continue button, and it said I hadn't completely filled out the form, and I needed to enter the birth date. But, there was nothing asking me for my birthdate on the form. What's going on?

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost       
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    Click the Wi-Fi icon in your Mac's menu bar.

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Re using AE as an extender: do I need to choose the 2.4 ghz band to have it work with iPhone?  If so, how do I do that?

    I have AT&T Uverse service, so I use my Airport Extreme as an extender.  However, it doesn't seem to have an effect on my iPhone: I can stand right next to the AE and not get a good signal.  I read somewhere that the iPhone only uses the 2.4 ghz band.  If my AE is set to use the 5 ghz band, how would I instruct it to use the 2.4 ghz band?

    I have AT&T Uverse service, so I use my Airport Extreme as an extender. 
    Unfortunately, the AirPort Extreme is not compatible with the Uverse router if you are tying to "extend" using wireless only.
    However, it doesn't seem to have an effect on my iPhone: I can stand right next to the AE and not get a good signal.
    The Extreme can only "join" a Uverse wireless network...normally for use with an AirPort Express with AirTunes.  The Extreme does not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "joins" a network. That is why you notice no improvement in the wireless signal.
    Apple's "extend" setting is a proprietary feature that will only work with other Apple routers. In other words, to have an Apple device "extend a wireless network", you need to have another Apple device providing the wireless network.
    If you want the Extreme to provide more wireless coverage, you will need to connect it to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Uverse rotuer with a wired Ethernet connection from the WAN port on the Extreme.

But as people subscribe to these forums you may find that your card gets emptied.

    I have a problem with Siri. Although my contacts are entered correctly including naming the contact's home phione number as "Home", Siri will often tell me there is no home number for that person. She then gives me a choice of using the contact's home or mobile number (whicgh appear correct on the screen) and when I choose "Home" Siri again tells me there is no home number for that name. Any ideas? Am I entering the contact incorrectly?

    Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
    So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
    If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

    Mac Perpetual CS6 current version is 13.0.6 the subscription version is version 13.1.2.  How are you trying to update to 13.1.?? do you have a Creative Cloud Subscription?
