I think this problem may be caused by Yahoo's changes making it incompatible with the klatest version of FireFox.
This is suddenly affecting many many people who use Firefox and are members of Yahoo Groups. All these people say they themselves changed nothing and have not been locked out before when using Firefox. But suddenly, within the last week, they are.
What did Mozilla do or what did Yahoo do to cause this problem? I can say that I was not blocking cookies and after trying a number of things to fix it, I went to Yahoo's home page and navigated to my group from here.
This problem is not anything a user did. Either Firefox is at fault or Yahoo is. I want to know which company is at fault and when they are going to fix it.

My dell checking program tells me i have a problem with Firefox V 9.0.1.4371.....ok except i am running v 10.0.2......anything i need to do

That Dell program may not yet know about Firefox 10 versions and then automatically shows a V 9.0.1.4371 version number. 
See if you can update that program or contact Dell.
If you do not have problems with Firefox then you probably can ignore that message.

I have three problems with Firefox 3.6.8 that 3.6.9 hasn't fixed: 1) Firefox has stopped responding to any and all javascripts, 2) Firefox won't play any embedded videos, and 3) Firefox won't let me open up new windows.

Every new link has to be opened in a new tab, or nothing happens. No matter how I try, I can't open more than one window with Firefox. Worst of all, if I surf the Internet for more than an hour, all these problems have a cumulative effect and Firefox simply crashes. I'd uninstall 3.6.9 and reinstall 3.6.6 (which gave me no problems) if I could only figure out how to save and export all my passwords and user IDs first -- that's way too much to have to input again from scratch!!

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Names of downloaded files appear in Downloads Window only if that window is open during download. I run Firefox 4 on windows xp 32 bit sp3. I didn't have such problem with Firefox 3. Can somebody please help me?

When I download a file with firefox 4 Downloads Window opens but downloading file name doesn't appear there. If I keep Downloads Window open further downloads appear in it but if i close it and reopen it again it appears blank, all downloaded file names are disappeared. I tried everything, unchecked "Remember download history" box and checked it again, deleted downloads.sqlite file, even created new profile but nothing helped.

It is easy for me to explain things badly, and I can not see what you are actually doing, I will therfore try to list as steps to take.
Please confirm that you have used firefox safe mode and still see the problem, by doing the following:
# open firefox - use any profile

# you should now see an options dialogue with a list of check box options,

I have a problem with Firefox. The checkbox for "Block pop-up windows" under Tools – Options – Content unchecks itself when I close the browser.

In other words, I can go into the content tab, check the box to stop pop-ups, but if I close the browser, and then reopen it, the box is no longer checked. What is the cause of this?

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, none of the fixes that you directed me to worked; the “safe mode” fix, prefs.js change to prefs.jsOLD fix, the blow it out and reinstall fix; and prefs-1.js does not exist. I’m willing to try any other fixes you can think of, so send them along if you have any.
One thing that did come to mind though is; the extension “.js” is for java script. And, with Firefox 6.0 installed, the Java 6 Update 26 is disabled, with the message under add-ons – extensions being, “Java Console is incompatible with Firefox 6.0.” Could this be the reason I can’t get the “Block pop-up windows” box to remain checked?
I’m not an IT guy, so any further help will be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me why games are semi transparent in Pogo? I only have this problem with Firefox but not with IE9 or Chrome

When I click on a game, the game window opens and is solid, but when it's fully loaded, it becomes semi transparent and washed out. I can post a screen shot of what I'm talking about if this forum supports it.

You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money..

Firefox 5 is causing my Intel graphics driver (it is up to date) to crash - never had a problem with Firefox 2, 3, or 4.

Having repeated intel graphics accelerator driver crashes - screen goes black and it recovers - get little error message screen as what happened. Happens frequently. I have done driver scans and everything is up to date. Did not have this problem with firefox 4

This is my problem too. I saw a post about a computer crash above. I found if I wait (various periods of time) the computer restores and firefox stays broken. Although being impatient, I would reboot the computer anyway.
I HAVE SWITCHED TO CHROME until this problem is resolved. You can import all your bookmarks and passwords and live happily ever after. When and If this problem is resolved, I may switch back (been loyal for years and years).. if it takes too long, I'll probably just stay with chrome as my new browser.
I have also seen a similar screen to the "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" that scared me, but it was a graphic driver crash warning (windows 7) nothing more. However I did pee myself a little.
For a while I thought my graphics card was overheating or something, but found the crashes coincided with firefox boot. That's when I discovered this thread. Thanks folks for posting.

Firefox has become ingérable.Soit is not open windows, or you can not close them, or all windows are locked or not firefox loads more etc. .. It has become a real real problem and if things do s 'I'll have to arrange not abandon it, because it's really hellish. What can I do to solve these problems because my patience is wearing thin. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. When I click on the short I get the message "windows cannot find [then the web address] make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." I tried deleting the shortcut and setting it up again but still get the message.

Try to redo the default browser and make another browser like IE the default browser and then let Firefox do it again.

I used to be able to choose print options with Firefox and now I can't. It forces me to use photo paper when I want only to use plain paper. I do not have this problem with Safari or IE, just firefox. I have an office jet 4500 HP printer

I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.
