I have a problem with mail app

I just can't open the mail app. Always appear an error message.

No. Tried all that. Server finally says they don't understand what's happening so better if I just delete accounts and set them up again from scratch. Haven't done that yet in hopes someone in the Apple world will have found a solution.

    The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
    You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up.

    Since installing Mountain Lion i have a problem with Mail. I delete a number of messages from the same person but keep the newest message in my Inbox. I actually delete them from the Trash. The next time i open Mail the deleted messages are back again. Can anybody please help as this is getting annoying. Thanks in Anticipation.

    Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
    First, empty the Trash.
    Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

    You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
    and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money..

    I added my Gmail account. iPhone tells me that there are more than 42949670 mails. Obviously this number doesn't appear on the icon; I see it only when I open Mail. (Ah, I have already read all of these mails).
    The problem is that iPhone doesn't tell me when a new mail arrives; on the icon, the number in red doesn't appear.
    How can I set up my iPhone so that he tells me only how many new mails there are?

    Ho aggiunto il mio account Gmail. L'iPhone mi dice che ci sono più di 42949670 emails. Ovviamente il numero non appare sull'icona; lo vedo solo quando apro Mail. Tutte queste emails le ho già lette.
    Il problema è che, quando arriva una nuova email, non mi compare il numero nel cerchietto rosso sull'icona.

I don't want this app. It is not downloaded yet, the download is still in progress.  I have limited data plan and I don't have a chance to finish the download via PC. The size of the app - 33 mb. Could you please cancel the download process so I will be able to remove the icon.

    Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
    Are you able to connect to a wifi network - tapping the app should pause the download of the app and change it to 'waiting', so you should be able to pause the download until you have access to a wifi network.

    If you can't remember your security questions go to  Express Lane.
    select iTunes from the list, then iTunes store.        On the next screen select account Management.          There, select iTunes store account security and write that you would like to reset your security questions and / or answers.
    You should get an eMail reply over the next 24 hours.

    What is the exact name of the application you're trying to launch? Is it in the Applications folder?

    I fixed the To: autofilling incorrectly by deleting my email address from the Previous Recipients List, but is there a way to stop that from coming up on emails that I receive?

    Have you checked your Mac address book? If your email is saved somewhere in your address book with the name "Holidays in the United States" it might be adding the name automatically in Mac Mail.
    Alternatively, try this:
    Delete an Email Address from Auto-Complete in Mac OS X Mail
    To remove an email address from the auto-complete list in Mac OS X Mail:
    Start typing the recipient's address or name in a new message.
    Select the desired address from the auto-complete list as if you'd compose an email to them.
    Click the small down arrow in the recipient.
    Select Remove from Previous Recipients List from the menu.
    You can also search for the unwanted address directly in the previous recipients list:
    Select Window | Previous Recipients from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
    Highlight the address you want to remove.You can highlight multiple addresses by holding down the Command key.
    Click Remove from List.
