I have a problem with Powerpoint 2011 for Mac. I began preparing a presentation and everything was working just fine. At some point I switched away from presenter view and then back at which point the next slide had disappeared, never to be seen again.
Did I inadvertently hit some key that blocked out the preview slide? If so, what do I do to get it back? My presentation is on Thursday so I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Problems with Office 2011 for mac after upgrading to Mountain Lion
Office 2011 for mac worked fine with Lion on my MacBook Air. I had been having some problems with my computer freezing and crashing, so the folks at the Genius Bar wiped my computer clean and installed Mountain Lion for me.
I have full backups (Time Machine) from before the wipe on my external hard drive, but I was told not to restore from the backup, that I should drag and drop files instead. I was also told to re-install any program for which I had the disk. I reinstalled Office 2011 via the disk.
Two major problems followed:
1. I lost all my old emails (I use Mail). Even rebuilding the library or trying to restore them from Time Machine don't get them back.
2. Word and Excel don't seem to recognize me anymore. I can pull up and modify an old document or workbook, but I cannot "save" my changes. I have to hit "save as." That's a pain, but there's a worse problem.
I have no trouble saving these "save as" versions to my desktop or to my Documents file. But I cannot save them anywhere else — even to the folder where I found the original document. I get a message that I don't have the necessary permissions to access or modify the folders. I'm asked to authenticate, and I do, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
I tried Get Info on the workbooks and documents, and I'm clearly granted Read and Write permission.
I've done a permissions repair via Disk Utility. There were some things to repair, but it didn't solve my problem.
I know I can move all documents to an external hard drive and then recreate all the folders, saving all the documents and workbooks "as" but it seems a huge amount of work. Can anybody suggest an easier route or how to get my email history?You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: 'resetpassword' (without the 's) and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

All my artwork (frames, graphics, shapes, etc.) are suddenly all marked PLUS and I am unable to use any of them! What happened. I've been using them for years and now suddenly they are taken away! Do I need to become a PLUS member again? If so, how do I accomplish that?
The artwork that came with the program is no longer there. Yes, I did download the plus items. Like I said, they were working until two days ago when everything suddenly disappeared. Would it do any good to reload the program?

Inserting a .wmv file into a powerpoint 2011 for mac
When I try to insert a wmv file in powerpoint 2011 for mac I get the following error. "Powerpoint couldn't insert a movie from the selected file. Either the file is non standard or Quicktime is not installed properly." I do have Flip4Mac installed. I also tried to rename the .wmv file as a .mov file. Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have the $29 (or greater) Flip4Mac decoder component installed? Changing the file extension at the Finder level does not change the data type contained within the file nor the file container type. If you want the WMV data in an MOV file container, you must use the QT 7 Pro (or MPEG Streamclip) "Save As..." option (together with the decoder component) to partially expand the WMV data (file will be noticeably larger) and place the expanded data in a "real" MOV file container. -
My o2 email account does not work when sending from my MAC it will accept incoming mail but not send it gives me a message that o2 account (offline) my mac I have no problem with my iPhone or mac laptop. any suggestions please.

I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

You must be using an update CD. You need the software that has the full version first - install that, then you can use the update one if needed. I know, cuz I made the same mistake - lol

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the Camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
Hi, I m using an iPhone 4 and my yahoo push email was working just fine but for the last few days I am experiencing some problem that is the emails are not getting pushed , I have to manually fetch the mails.
