I have a question in iOS Air Print feature.

Hi,
Good day
I have a question in iOS Air Print feature.
I have Fuji Xerox DocuCentre-IVC2263 in my company and i need to print document from the iOS device to this Fuji Xerox.
Fuji Xerox is connect with Ethernet cable.
So, if i buy Apple Airport Express, can i print message on Apple Mail app and document on Apple Pages app ?
Note: I download FX Print Utilitie from App Store, This app can print only PDF, Webpage, picture. It's can't print message from Apple Mail app (attachment also), can't print document from Apple Pages app.
Thanks
Pichate83

To print directly from an iOS device, the printer must support AirPrint. Just connecting a printer to an AirPort Express base station (either by USB or Ethernet) will not, in itself, make the printer AirPrint ready.

  • I have set up my HP air print printer to my ipad 4 but it keeps losing it. When I try and print it says no air printer found.

I Have set up my HP air printer to my IPad 4. It keeps losing it. I am trying to print and it says no air printer found. Once I get it set up again and then don't use it for a while it has gone.

    Have you tried ....
Rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again.
Turn the printer off and then turn it back on again.
Check for a firmware update for the printer.
Reset Network Settings on the iPad. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • How do I check if my air print feature is on?

I'm trying to hook up new printer but won't work. How do I verify my IPad's air print feature is on. My husband printed photo from IPad, but I can't seem to get emails to print. Where in Settings can I verify printer is connected?  Any ideas what we're doing wrong? Help?! Thanks.

    Here's the AirPrint overview article:
    AirPrint basics
First, be sure your specific model printer is listed there as being supported by AirPrint.
There is no specific place to check -- there is no AirPrint app.  You cannot check in Settings.  The best way to check is to try to print from some app (Mail would be fine, but you could try, say, Safari instead), and see if your printer shows up.
The article should be your best help.

  • Why can't i get the air print feature of ipad to print labels with consistent alignment

we are a medical office and uses iPad to chart as part of electronic medical record.  We use the airprint to print our biopsy labels but are having problems to have the lebels to print within alignment consistently.  There does not seem to be a patter why sometime it is aligned and why sometimes it is not.  The EMR vendor said it is not a software issue.  Not been able to get help with Apple tech support.

It seems to me it would be an issue with the print drivers of the printer you are using, related to your specific printer and the way it interprets print jobs coming from Air Print.  What printer are you using and is it Air Print enabled, or are you using  some other type of solution? Can you print the labels, properly aligned, from some other non-iOS platform?

  • HP Envy- does it require internet connection for the air print feature to work?

I am considering purchasing an HP Envy printer, but I live in an area with limited internet service (very slow dial-up).  Does the Envy require an internet connection to work?  I have a Macbook Air, and am assuming that I can just use my wireless router without connecting it to the internet.  Has anyone out there used the air print in this situation?

    Hi,
It should work without internet just a home network should be ok.

  • How do I print photos from iPad 2 to air printer

I have a hp deskjet 3050a air printer which has always worked fine with my iPhone & my iPad, now I can only print from emails not photos & pages as I could before, help anyone ?

What version of iOS are you using?
See if doing a simple power cycle of the network will help.  To power cycle the network, turn off all devices on the network including the router, wait about 30 seconds, turn the router on first, wait 1 or 2 minutes for it to stabilize, and turn on all devices that attach to the router.  See if it still does the same thing.  Let me know what happens.

  • Hp office jet pro 8600 air printing scale issues.

Can you help me figure out how I can fit my document (to scale correctly). I've tried printing it direct print using iOS air print and through the hp app. Thank you for your time!

    Hello Tracibranch2012,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I took some time and looked into scaling documents when printing from the iPad to the 8600. I was not able to find any options that allow you to scale documents or photos.
Google Cloud Print might be able to control the setting more to your needs. I know you can select which paper you are printing onto with Google Cloud Print, etc.
See if that helps out at all.
Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer<---

  • Email printing feature confusing

    Hello,
we have a problem with the email printing feature of GroupWise 2012 and we aren't able to fix it or even to find out what the reason actually is why it is behaving like that. Maybe someone of you already had that problem and is able to help us here :-)
A GroupWise user wants to print some emails. Depending(?) on the mail, it opens one of two different printing dialogs when clicking on "Print" (its always the same dialog per mail, but trying to print multiple mails, there are different dialogs):
    1. The "standard" print dialog where I can choose the printer, which pages I want to print and how many of them.
    2. A GroupWise print dialog where I can only choose what I want to print, but not which page for example (sometimes we just want to print the first page). There is a list of options to choose from. That list contains entries like the mail itself and all its attachments. But clicking on the mail itself in the list gives us only the option to print the whole mail and not just one oder two pages of it.
Is there any possibility to print mails always with the standard dialog? Or to choose the number of pages in the second dialog?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Greetings,
    tschneider

Does this explain it? If that's what you see, you can force the default view for mails to either one in the client options.
oh, I thought I checked that already but that really is it - we need to be in the HTML mode to print via the "first dialog" I mentioned in my initial post! Thank you so far!
But if I send a plain text email to another person, this person isn't able to change the mode to "HTML", thus it isn't possible to print single pages (the "default layout" is already on HTML, but if we open a plain text mail, it is displayed in plain text and the HTML button is grayed out).
Is there any way to change the view from plain text to HTML for plain text mails?

    Shannmo-
The HP PhotoSmart 5514 is on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work.  <iOS: AirPrint 101>
One problem might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint.  Contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.
I had a printing problem several months ago, where the WiFi had jumped to a neighbor's WiFi that happened to have the same name.  There are a LOT of WiFi routers out there named "Linksys"!

  • IOS 6.1 can no longer air print to HP 6700; it worked before with no problems; is this a bug with 6.1?

We have 2 iPads (2nd and 4th generation).  Both have been air printing without trouble to our HP 6700, which is on Apple's list of supported printers.  Both iPads were updated to OS 6.1 last night.  Now when attempting to air print something, the HP 6700 does not appear on the printer options list of printers to select from.  Interestingly, the other supported printer, and HP 8500, does show on the list, but when attempting to air print to it, this results in an error message "An error occurred printing this document."  This error happens in multiple apps that support air printing.  Is this a bug in iOS 6.1?
The printers are visible in AirPort, AND I can print from a computer (MB Air and a Dell Win7)  to the HP 6700 without problems, but no longer from the iPads.  What gives?  I have powered down the HP 6700 and back up.  I even restarted the AirPort Express.  The problem persists with printing from the iPads.

Hi, everyone, I yesterday bought a HP 6700, after setting everything like supposed to be, I could scan to computer and by eWeb service but not Print directly from iMacs (10.7.5 and 10.8.5) or iPhone, after installing things as suggesting here and HP support site, I decides to called HP support, and they do something, first they force to eliminated all printers from Print & Scan pannel (system preferences) by right-click over printer list on that pannel, and then create the printer from the IP address instead of by default selecting it from list (bonjour), that make the iMacs start printing fine. But iPhone still not. Then HP support suggested that maybe my router didn't support bonjour or it was not activated, so I tried with my phone company with no luck, since they told me that they never hear about this and that my router didn't support it, even if I think they didn't know, period. So I decided to create a network over my regular network, using an Airport Express, I create a new network (connected the Airport through ethernet cable to the router), and then place the iMacs and iPhone over the new network, restarted printer and iPhone, and then finally the iPhone could print on the HP 6700.
So I suggest you try first force the printer using the IP address, thaht solved the problem with iMacs, and then if you can, used another router cause maybe the one you use have "issues" with bonjour/airprint etc....
    Hope this help.

  • HT4356 I have an air-print enabled printer: HP Premium e-all-in-one C310.  Can't print from iPad iOS6.  They're on the same network, but have different IP addresses.  On the iPad it's 192.16.1.126 and on my printer it's 192.168.1.133.  Can I match them? H

I can't print from my iPad2 to my air-print enabled printer (HP Premium e-all-in-one C310).  They're on the same network, but have differed IP addresses!  The iPad IP is 192-168-1.126 and the printer is 192-168.1.133.  That's the only difference I can see.  Is there a way to fix this?

    fyi:
you put periods between the numbers.
Each device needs a unique number.
for the 192.168.1 the right must number should vary.  192.168.1.x
the numbers you have look ok.
Power off all devices: wifi router, printer, ipad.. wait 10 minutes.  poweron router ... wait power on printer wait then power on ipad.
    cross fingers.

  • HT4356 I have just updated my Epson printer to one which supports air print but consider it to be a waste of money as my printer has two paper trays and there is option to choose which try...just "print"  How can I print photos via AirPrint from photo  tr

    Hi,
First-timer on this...Just updated my printer which was less than one year old, to one which had Air Print capabilities. This one is the Epson XP605 which has two trays, one being for photos. Each time I tried to Air Print a photo, it printed from the A4 plain paper tray instead of the Photo Tray.Twice...then I came into my study and changed the printer settings to Tray 1 (photo tray) Photo paper, size 5x7 and  Photo Best, but still it printed on plain A 4 paper. Would be most grateful for any help, although I did read on one Apple site that AirPrint may not be able to choose trays!!!! "may not"??  Thanks

I just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it.
