I have a redundant apple store account that I cannot access and need to change

Good morning,
Until about 9 months ago I had an account with claranet and that was used to access the apple store via my Iphone, however, for many reasons, it became untennabble and I switched to mobileme. The issue is that when I try to access the Itunes Store and update my apps it always wants to use the claranet account - which no longer exists. I have tried to get rid of it and synch to mobile me but without any success. Can anyone help?

Apps are linked to your iTunes account, you cannot change apps to a new account.
So when ever you want to update those apps bought with the old account you will have to use the old accounts log in.
The only way to stop this is to re-purchase the apps from the new account.
You can however change the email and personal details of an iTunes account.
So I am not sure why you created a second itunes account?
You really don't ever need to change your account, only the details.

If you go to Apple, they will not replace your battery, but exchange your iPod for a refurbished iPod of the same model with a new battery. Therefore you will lose everything that is not backed up. If you change it yourself or have a third party change it, you will most likely not lose anything (but still best to make a backup as lllaass suggested).

That decision is pretty much between you and your company. If you're getting reimbursed for purchases you make for your work, you may be required by your company to have a separate account, perhaps paid by a company credit card, so that they can account for the purchases and retain ownership and control of them should you leave the company. Otherwise, there's no technical difference as to whether you purchase apps solely through your personal account or purchase work apps via a company account other than the complication of possibly having to sign into two iTunes Store accounts to obtain app updates.
Synching to an Exchange server isn't connected with an iTunes Store account, so that won't affect your decision.

due to shortage of space I uploaded my favourite game from my ipad storage on to icloud storage. Is it possible to play the game whilst in the icloud storage or do I have to download it back on to my ipad which will require me deleting some of the other games that I have on there to make enough room for it. You have to download it first, iCloud is a sync/storage system and not a server like a network server.
Backup your iPad then delete what you can, so you have material available if you need it later.

I just updated to ios 5.0.1 and it reset all of my apps, I lost everything I had saved. I had several documents in Pages that I cannot recover and need to recover.

If you backup your iPad you can restore from the backup. The iPad app data is retained in the backup.

HT203167 Someone has been using my credit card to download games. this has happened before when I had a different credit card on my itunes account. the apple store on that previous time would not give me the ip address where the downloads ended up.

Someone I entrusted my computer to for repairs decided to keep it. all my personal information was on the computer. the peron has been using my credit card information o make ourchases from the apple store. If I do not have a credit card on the account on my iphone, I am unable to updatw it or my ipad. After persuading the apple store people to delete the last credit card info, I had to put aother credit card on the iphone to be able to update the software and thevapps. now that card is being used by the person o download war games on the new card. I cannot find any of his downloaded games on any of my devices. I am close to giving up my iphone and ipad. the last time i called the apple store, theynwould not give me the IP address of the omputer the games were downloaded to. they only gave me the name of my ipad. anyone could name thir ipad according to the name on mynipad. I have found the Apple store less than friendly about security matters like this. Is the credit card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? It could be a problem at the other end, try again tomorrow. Also , try resetting your iPad by holding down the home and sleep/wake button till the Apple logo appears and then let it wake up, maybe that may help.

I am certain you are doing backups of your TV shows on your computer in iTunes?! If not, do so. You should also make sure that you backup both accounts. Now, for your problem, you could combine the backups to one location then use your computer function on your Apple TV to watch all of your TV shows in one place. The only other way to watch both accounts is to actually go into account settings on your Apple TV and change the account info to the account you want to watch the TV shows in that account. Sounds awful, probably is.

a single iTunes can be authorized for up to five iTunes store accounts (Apple IDs). a library thusly set up will sync content purchased with any of the five Apple IDs to any device.

I have two apple accounts that I cannot get to merge. One is a hotmail address and the other a gmail address as primary addresses in the two accounts. I would like to merge them into one account. I cannot verify the addresses of either accounts because when I do it will say that the address already exists. Therefore I can't get them to merge.

Me.com and hotmail are under the same account., but when I log into me.com some of the accounts turn into the hotmail account. I do not use hotmail anymore and use gmail regularly.
Any insight to these problems would be appreciated.

If these are both used as Apple IDs, then they cannot be merged. If they are just two email accounts of which you only wish to use one, then you would need to transfer the data you want to save from one to the other. Since the data are just email you would need to look for a way to export it from one email address as a file compatible with what the other can import.

You have the iPhone in your profile, but people's profiles here are often incomplete or very outdated. It's better to be specific. And part of the problem is that I can't find any Belkin composite cables for connecting an iPhone to a TV, either on the Apple Store or the Belkin site. The closest I found is this Belkin video cable, which doesn't specify exactly what kind of connection it is.
For the most relevant assistance, you've got to post in the iPhone forum and specify the cable by providing a link to exactly which cable you're using.
