I have a replacement iPhone from the Apple shop, will it automatically be unlocked from my carrier?

My iPhone was replaced at an Apple store for a new one, I now want to use it with another network. Will the phone be automatically unlocked as it was a replacement?
Thanks

No, your replacement will be exactly like the phone you turned in...in other words, if your phone was carrier locked, your replacement will be carrier locked.
