Depending on the age of your iMac there may not be a built in slot to read SD cards. In which case you would need a USB type card reader. The first generation of iMac to have the built in card reader was Late 2009.

My computer caught a virus. My entire drive was wiped clean, however, I had recently done a backup to a portable hard drive. When I got my computer back from the tech, and logged into my itunes, my library shows all my songs, but NONE of them have a music file associated with it - therefore I cannot play it. In iTunes, go to File > Add to Library and select the files/folders you would like to add.
You can also choose to consolidate library after that to move them off the external. -
I have imported IE9 bookmarks but do not know where to access them in firefox
I have installed Firefox 7 and have all the toolbars on screen but I cannot access the bookmarks that I imported from Internet Explorer 9.
When I click Bookmarks on the top left of the page (on te menu that says File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help) it doesn't show me any of the bookmarks I have imported.
Please can you help. Where do I get the bookmarks?

Dr Anthony WoodYou can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
* Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
* Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

I am having problems downloading my music library from my PC to my iphone. I have different apple id's for i-tunes and iphone5s. I did connect iphone to PC via USB and was able to sync and download, but do not know where it downloaded to. I looked under my music on iphone and nothing there.
You have Sync Music selected under the Music tab or selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your PC?

I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

I want to install Lion on an external hard drive. The OS was purchased and downloaded through the App Store but I do not know where the file is.
If you downloaded the installer it will be in your applications folder. Failing that use spotlight start typing Install and it should show up.
This is assuming you downloaded the installer from the app store, and didn't just install it onto your mac. If all you have done is install it on your mac. Go to your purchases Lion should show up. Then click download.

Having just moved from a Blackberry to iPhone 5C I have been trying to move my contacts into my car's Hands Free. I have paired the device but became stuck when it advised me to transmit the contact list.
How do I find instruction on how to transmit?
WRJ5The movement of contacts from the phone to the vehicle is handled by the vehicle. There is no setting on the iPhone to move the contacts. Check the user guide for the hands free system in your vehicle. Mine does it automatically, but there is a setting in the car's system that is set by default to move them.
EDIT: I'm sorry, you can also check the phone. Go to Settings>Bluetooth and find your vehicle. Tap on the small on the right side and that should bring up another settings page, mine does. There you can check "Sync Contacts". It should then sync when you connect the phone to the vehicle, unless the vehicle also has a setting.

This is the second time I have updated to a newer version of Itunes and when complete the only music i have access to is the purchased music.I loaded several hundred songs to my former computer. It got wet and I lost entire hard drive, nothing was recoverable. Fortunately i have all music and pictures on my IPad, do not know how to get music I did not purchase from Itunes onto Itunes on my new Mac. This is my second MAc in less than 3 years due to my accident.
You only get one download of rentals (in the US you can re-download some films, but I'm not sure whether that applies to rentals). If the film is on yoru computer's iTunes, then connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of iTunes under 'Devices', and the use the Films/Movies tab on the right-hand side to sync the film to the iPad.

After going through all the troubleshooting suggestions and also uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, it still won't work. To begin with it was fading out and a 'not responding' notice appeared on the header, with the pointer turning to the timer but nothing was happening. It's been working well for ages and I haven't added anything or deleted anything recently, so can't understand why it should suddenly stop working.
I've followed all the troubleshooting advice and disabled the plug ins, also removed a lot of the add ons, still didn't work. Then I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Now it won't even open. A window comes up saying it has crashed and giving me the option to re-start it or quit it. If I click re-start, it won't re-start.
I've even started it in safe mode but that won't stay open either, it opens for about a minute then just closes.

Black screen with exclamation point when trying to view photos
