DVD drive for installation
9GB of available disk space
You have to purchase the upgrade from Apple for $129. You ned to call and order ti since it is not listed in their on-line store. You can also try eBay or Craig's List.

Yu are trying to impoort photos taken by or saved to the iPod, right? If the photos were synced to the iPod then iPhot does not work. -

Please verify the model number from the back. If it is A1288, it is a 2nd generation unit and can not be upgraded beyond 4.2.1

I have a new Macbook pro and can't recall the password I used with my Time capsule - How can I (ideally) retrieve or possibly change the time capsule password?
Remember security on a TC is an illusion.
Simply press the reset button for 1-2 sec.. you must not do too long .. it will then hard reset.. but soft reset will revert all passwords to default for 5min. ie TC password is now public.
Remember this the next time because anybody at all can change your passwords.
Once into the TC you can then open the view passwords if you wanted any weaker security. Click and open the TC.. and click on edit.. then go to the top menu..
Voila .. all your passwords in plain sight to any Tom Dick and Fred. -

I have just upgraded to Yosemite, and when trying to update Pages, get the message incompatible update!
If you are using track pad, please use mouse and see if your issue is resolved.
Moreover, this issue has been resolved in PSE 13. You can give it atry as well.

Hi, I'm trying to sync my new Ipod to get the new album I got but when I connected it the meesage: The Ipod SYS cannot be used with itunes because it is not formatted properly. appears in itunes. I have restored several times now but it is not working I already downloaded music to it, it is brand new..just 2 weeks old. Somebody can help me? Do I need to return it to the store I bought it from?
The last Restore completed without any error message, or do you get the "ipod SYS" error message?

So, iTunes/Windows thinks another drive is the iPod, and errors out because that drive is not formatted as expected (for an iPod). The solution, in the document linked above, is to change the iPod's assigned drive letter. -

Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -

A 3rd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 5.1.1. If the apps you need require a later version of iOS, you will need a newer iPod touch.
The 4th gen model, which is still available on Apple Store's refurb ("Special Deals") page can run up to iOS 6.1.3. The current 5th gen model can run the current iOS 7.x. -

Sounds like it's hardware issue. The iPhone warranty is based in the original country of purchase. Since it was bought in Korea you will need to ship the phone to someone you know in Korea to be taken in and then they will have to ship it back to you. The cost of shipping will be at your expense.

Ripping Cd's for use with iTunes AND DJ Software
Hello, I have a lot of CD's I want to rip into my MAC. I want to store them on my external hard drive attached to my Time Capsule. I use iTunes, but here is the problem. I also use my MB Pro to DJ, and disconnect my external hard drive from the Time Capsule and take it with me (it has my music on it). How can I use both iTunes and my DJ software? Does iTunes rip the songs into a file that I can also use without iTunes playing it (in other words, a plain old mp3 or mp4?) Anyone have a best practices to pass along? Thanks!

Yes, in your Preferences > Importing, choose whichever format you want the music to be in - e.g. MP3 if you prefer - plus the bitrate you want it at. (This also works for converting tracks you already have in your iTunes Library - from the ADvanced menu).
Does iTunes rip the songs into a file that I can also use without iTunes playing it
Yes - all the tracks will be in the iTunes > Tunes Music folder on the drive (making sure you point iTunes to this drive the first time you run it), organised in separate folders by artist albums or Compilations. These all play in Finder Preview, and I assume can be read by your DJ software / hardware.
One word of warning - don't interfere with the folder structure or move files around or rename them or anything, as iTunes might get very confused next time you launch it.
