also now my iphone 5 will have to remain music-less as i cannot install the latest version of itunes...
wonder why the man in the apple store didnt ask me this when i said i had a G5 .. he just said if you have 10.5.8 you can install 10.6

I have the original iPad- about 18 mod old. I tried to download an etool program and it required iflashplayer. My iPad wouldn't do it. I went to the apple store and they told me to update my software to iOS 5.1.1 which I did . Now none of the apps I had installed prior to this work. The icons are still on my screen but when you touch them, it just blinks and nothing happens..like the screen is frozen. You must use iTunes. Connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, select your device in the sidebar and press Restore. Then, you can restore your device from a backup, and sync the device with iTunes to transfer your files to it pressing Sync button -

they won't give me one as they say my new imei no is not registered, they also said apple should have given me an open carrier phone so i could use my o2 sim card in it, has anyone else had this problem as i no longer want to use tmobile as they are a pile of crap

If so, did you request your iPhone being officially unlocked by T-Mobile which was done before your iPhone was exchanged under warranty?
You either need to contact T-Mobile about getting the iPhone officially unlocked as before if this was done previously, or you need to return to the Apple store where your iPhone was exchanged under warranty if this was done at an Apple store. -

Your post doesn't really make sense, because if all you had to do was reset the iPhone, they would have helped you do that at the Apple Store.
Are you sure "reset" is the correct verb - that "reset" is exactly what they told you to do?
Anyway, you reset the iPhone by holding the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. -

That depends on which version phone you are referring to. Contract free is not the same as unlocked. For the new iPhones they unlocked version at the Apple store will probably not be available for 30 days after release. A contract free phone from T-Mobile can be unlocked after 30 days of service. The GSM side of the Verizon iPhone comes unlocked.

Wi-Fi on my iphone4s is grayed out and I think this happened after the update 7.0.4. I tried all possible solutions through apple online support and then went to apple store as a last resort and they turned me down that there is no support in the 2nd year. Only option is to pay 160 pounds and get replacement. When I argued further, they said that if I had bought the iphone directly with them, they would replace me without any cost. This is even more frustrating.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNFAIR as its not my fault. If the release of faulty 7.0.4 software is timed in my 2nd year of contract and since I didnt buy the iphone directly from Apple, how is it fair to ask me to pay for replacement. Its not my fault after all.Because you are outside the one year hard ware warrenty, Apple covers for the first year on their dime, if you had a two year contract why not make sure you have a two year insurance on your phone?
Either way as I can see/assume you are from europe you can look at your consumer laws to see if you qualify for anything there, beyond that it isn't the software that broke the device, it's a hardware failure because thousands upon thousands are happy and content with iOS 7.0.4 -
I bought the Garmin app for $50 as the maps on my garmin in my car are not current. I thought this would avoid the need to travel with 2 devices. However, the maps are hopelessly out of date for where I live with roads and roundabouts that have been there for more than a year not on the maps. I went to the apple store to ask them what to do. they said contact Garmin. I did and they said it was only apple who could give me the refund. So I found the receipt and clicked on "do you have a problem with this app" and was redirected to Garmin. I called them( I was on hold a long time) and they said I would need to get the refund from apple.... but I can't find a way to do this. If the app had been 99 cents that would have been OK.. I've bought a few duds , but $49.99!!!

PS don't buy this app!!!!Garmin is sending you to Apple because it is Apple that would have to give you a refund as the actual point of sale. However, Apple states all sales are final.
Apple is sending you to Garmin because it is Garmin's fault their maps are out of date and Apple doesn't write the software. They may not even be looking that deeply and simply perceiving it as a programming "bug" it is up to Garmin to solve.
Who know whose fault it is that Garmin isn't getting up to date data to put in their maps.
Ultimately I think you stand the best chance in getting a refund from Apple though it isn't guaranteed. Apple is the cashier. You just have to convince them this isn't just a line of code omitted from an application and isn't something that will be soon corrected by Garmin. Make it clear it isn't a problem with the application running on your device, it is a problem with the data it contains. Either that or you have to hope Garmin will feel so bad about it they will delve down into their slush fund and send you a refund. -

I have a mid 2009 13'' MBP. I got the battery replaced in Apple store, It then stopped displaying the battery status LED.
After some months of use my MBP died outside USA. I got it checked in Apple verfied Service centre and was told that logic board was faulty.
After I came back to US I took my MBP to Apple store and was told that there is liquid damage in the system. My question is that if there was liquid damage why did my MBP stop displaying the battery status right after the battery was changed secondly why didnt the apple verified Service centre tell me that there was liquid damage afterall I paid them the money for diagnosing the problem.
Is there a process i can followup on this problemThese are question you would need to ask that service center.

So here's the thing: a few days ago I found the volume of the speaker on my phone going very low when I pick up the phone, I could barely hear anything. We took it to the store and was told that we'd pay $199 if wanting it replaced, or getting an iPhone 5 for $130 for a maxplan. Ok, so it's next to impossible for me to give up my plan cause you can't find a plan nearly as good as mines at this price. Then is there any other way to get apple to give me an iPhone 5 instead of 4S even for a expensive price??

I went to Apple store and tech unable to do this - wasn't happening and said there was an icloud problem and to go on line to find out, as they didn't do icloud issues in the store.
I've backed up my phone in the meantime.
I want to be able to read my kindle books and access contacts between these items.
Another question, I brought more icloud storage, but iphone is not saving to icloud as well.phone will not back up as says not enough storage - keh?

Last time they also said I may need to have my iphone replaced - this would then be my thrid iphone in 4 months! First iphone the camera didn't work (lucky I found out on second day and automaticallly replaced).
