I have a stubborn mailbox which refuses to be deleted in IMAP.

looking at our logs on our mail server in Server admin a user keeps getting an IOERROR with the cyrus.header: No such file or directory. I have removed what mail was in the mailbox and tried to delete it but no luck. I have tried Sir Admin but it wont allow me to create an ACL to delete it. I have rebuilt it using the server tools, but it still wont let me delete it.
Is there a terminal command i could use?

I'd recommend to use Cyradm to nuke a corrupted mailbox.

Note cyradm is NOT the same as SirAdmin mentioned earlier in this thread nor is it ServerAdmin.
It is a command ine utility to adminstrate Cyrus IMAP servers.

Disk full have two "library" folders which one can I delete?

Hello I am suffering from lack of disk space problem and I noticed that I have two libraries. One located in system folder and another is directly on the volume. Each taking about 4 gigs space. Are they both needed? Which one is safe to delete?

Both are critical.
/System/Library/ tends to contain many of the core operating system components, including most of the kernel extensions and boot files. Without this folder, Mac OS X won't start.
/Library/ also contains many system-critical files, with the difference that it is meant to be a modifiable repository of resources available to all user accounts on the system. Third party fonts, application support files, system-wide preferences, software updates, etc. and many other things are stored here.
Neither of these should be deleted; they contain different information and are not redundant of each other. In fact, you'll find a third Library folder inside your home folder which also shouldn't be deleted. This contains all your personal settings, which you'll definitely not want to throw out.

You definitely need to resurrect the old password associated with the Apple ID you used to purchase the music.

An email will be sent to the email address associated with that account with instructions regarding resetting that Apple ID's password.
If you no longer have access to that email, the resolution to this problem becomes considerably more difficult. In that event you would need to contact iTunes Support and explain your dilemma.

If you're talking about apps, then you have downloaded iOS apps which are intended to run on an iPhone or iPad, not a Mac.

Repartition and format the drive for a Mac:
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

It places a message on my screen stating a copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient @.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. Any ideas on how I can sort this. Would it be worth deleting my MSN account ant putting re-inputting the details again?

Your email provider has blocked the standard mail port 25 for sending emails and is requiring a different port. This is to avoid mail relays that use mail clients to send spam. You need to find the port that is used by your provider for sending outgoing mail. Then change the settings in your email account on your phone to match the port. You will also have to provide some security credentials for the account.
You can also try deleting the email account from your iphone, and the adding the email account back as this will many times set the correct port for sending emails.
You could also do a Google search on the the settings for your device with your email provider. That will provide you with the proper settings.

Also experiencing some funky issues with my wireless keyboard. With new batteries, it will just stop functioning. Certain keys intermittently won't work. Also the fans go on as soon as I turn the computer on - some times they stay on and sometimes they don't. Ever since upgrading the operating system - I've been having many issues with this iMac. Not happy. Any answers out there?

Thanks for your reply LexSchellings, There is no disc in the drive and I went through the suggestions you put forward on the phone with Apple support without any luck. I can put a disc in but it pops straight back out again without registering on finder.
The idea of using an external drive was to enable me to avoid the cost and loss of productivity whilst machine in repair... if I have to take it in to get the old drive removed than I might as well have a new internal drive put in, although I do worry about the reliability of these apple drives given my experience with this one coupled with my limited online research ... on line forums seem to be full of people with the same problem (although perhaps searching such forums is bound to make it seem a common problem as users with perfectly working machines are less likely to post (?)) Your reply suggests that no external drive will work whilst the existing drive is in place.
As a postscript: I do realise that this is a user forum ...my secondary question was asking if anyone knows how to put forward a case/complaint to Apple... I can't find a link on the support page that would enable me to do so and I was wondering if anyone on this user forum had any ideas/experience..

Hi I have an ipod shuffle which worked well on my old pc but since i have tried to link it with my new laptop I cant get it to sinc. I have athorised the device to my laptop so i thought it maybe worth resetting it but all the info I have read tells me that to reset my ipod i need to open i tunes and on the left hand side in the 'source panel' i will find my ipod listed but when i open itunes i do not have a source panel so i cant reset it. i have spent days trying to get this problem sorted and am about to throw the thing away. I have tried to manually sinc the thing, i have installed and reinstalled the latest version of itunes, i have restarted my laptop but i dont know what to do next. any help would be very much appreciated. Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

You're saying that when you click on the iCloud preference pane button it sends you to the defunct MMe
rather than giving you this?
Is your profile up to date, i.e. are your running 10.7.5? Make sure you click on the iCloud button and not the MMe button.
