JohnFirst you should check on another Wifi to see if it's your Lion machine.
If it only occurs on your Wifi, then perhaps you have local interference and need to set the router on another channel far from others.
You can install a free program called KisMAC that you set your Driver Preferences to Apple Airport Extreme Passive Mode, enter your Admin password and monitor your local Wifi signals, see if you cna pin point the cause of your interference or meddler.
If your not running WPA2 with AES and a 12 plus random character/letter/number password for both Admin and Internet access use only then you should seriously consider doing so.

Had same problem with 10.7. I've followed all the suggestions I can find, restored my computer many times, cleaned the registry... this is the worst software install I've ever seen!
I kept getting the reminder to update itunes 11.1.4 on my Windows 7 laptop. I now forget the error message other than it would stop and say something that itunes has stopped working and to do a manual d/l from itunes. That did not work either.
The suggestion to remove the Apple Software Updater from my programs solved this problem. -

for example - a website language is not in german - but in english / arabic

If i test my IP adress via utrace.de i see, that my ip is not in germany but in israel. � utrace.de wants to fix this in the next 2 weeks � I hope so.

My i phone is as good as new but i have a very bad experience with apple.

I've tried to download through the link posted and the website but nothing happens. I can't reinstall if I can't get the download. All of my passwords are stored on Mozilla with a master code. I have written record of them so if I uninstall Firefox, when and if I get it to download, will I lose those stored passwords? Please help!

Problems with recordset paging and dynamic menu displaying all the options

I've created a jobs page using DWCS3 which has a dynamic drop down menu filtering the 'countries' that jobs are located in. When I introduce a recordset page only those countries associated with the jobs on that particular page are shown in the dynamic menu above, not all of the countries listed in the database. When I get to the second page of results - again - only those jobs' countries are shown in the menu (and not the previous pages/next pages as well).
I'd clearly like a user to be able to select from the menu of countries available for all the jobs in the database, and not just those on the page. Any ideas?
On a similar strain - my country menu/filter is wrapped up in a form above the list of jobs. On loading the page, only the search and menus appear. No jobs are shown until I hit submit. Is there a way to have all the jobs display on first load, and then for the search/menu filter to work on the displayed jobs. I've tried altering the variables on the search to 1 from -1, and other options but I can't seem to get a page of content on first load.
I'd really appreciate any pointers on the above, as this would help solve the final stage of my project. The full post and code can be seen on the friendsofed website under backend blight.

Pages 584-6 explain why you get nothing when a page first loads. Dreamweaver sets the default value to -1. The problem with trying to change the default value even to an empty string or % is that Dreamweaver's security function, GetSQLValueString() changes an empty string to NULL and wraps % in quotes, so neither will work.
One way to display all records when the page first loads is to create another recordset that selects all records. Wrap the code in a conditional statement that checks whether the $_GET array contains any values:

This means that you need two repeat regions to display the results. Wrap both of them in conditional statements:

Very wierd problem with java.io.tmpdir!

1. I'm using a Java 5 / Windows 2000 system.
2. My Windows TEMP env var is set to: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
3. Java reports the value of "java.io.tmpdir" to be: c:\DOCUME~1\johndoe\LOCALS~1\Temp\
4. This folder does NOT exist on my system. So I wrote code that checks for its existence and creates it if it's not already there.
5. However, the output I get is:
Original value of tmpdir = c:\DOCUME~1\johndoe\LOCALS~1\Temp\
Dir 'c:\DOCUME~1\johndoe\LOCALS~1\Temp' already exists.
Further, when I tried creating a file in the above folder from a similar Java program, the file was reported to have been successfully created, but when I searched, it was nowhere to be found
I'm quite puzzled. Is the file in RAM or something?!! Has someone faced this problem before? Your quick response would be greaty appreciated because the issue seems to very trivial and I've already run out of things to try!

I have a very specific problem with my iPhone, I could use someone to help me with it.
Recently my iPhone (2g, yes two) froze. The touch screen wasn't responding neither was the sleep button, yet the home button worked fine. I didn't drop it prior to this, I just reached into my pocket, pulled it out to listen to some music and it wasn't responding.
I went home, plugged it into my PC (win7 x64) and restored it through iTunes.
The restoration fixed the unresponsiveness, but now I can only make emergency calls. This can be described most accurately as DFU mode. I say most because I've tried methods to get it out of DFU mode and these methods have failed me.
iTunes recognizes my iPhone simply as "iPhone" no longer "[name]'s iPhone".
Each time I go through the method to leave DFU mode, I am able to select restore when iTunes detects that a device is in DFU mode.
However, this is as far as I can get.
It goes through restoring, and then tries to access the iTunes store on my computer.
Each time it tries to access the store this way (i'm not even sure why it has to) the connection times out and iTunes cannot complete my iTunes store request.
Still my phone remains in DFU mode and, while I can connect to the store on my computer to buy music and such, whenever I click on the iPhone under the devices tab, it tries to access and times out.
This is really frustrating and I'm tempted to just throw my iPhone out the window and get a droid instead.
Apple won't help because the phone is no longer under warranty, so this is really my last resort.
Also, it's not an issue with the SIM card. I have placed the SIM card in one of my friends cheap flip phone (same carrier) and it worked fine, it gave the phone my number and I could make and recieve calls.

I have a problem with an order that didn't cancel all the way...
Order {removed per forum guidelines}, I ordered Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor but a little bit after placing the order I decided I wanted to cancel it. I canceled the order and Devil Survivor 2 got canceled, but now Star Successor has shipped even though I requested the cancellation before it shipped out. I needed to have both of them canceled and also, I used a $5 rewards certificate on the order that got split between the two games and is now taking only $.61 off of the order, which means I'm being shipped a game I no longer want AND it looks like I'm going to lose my $5 rewards certificate is there ANY way to have the game re-routed back before it gets to me so the order can be canceled? I would've rather kept my order complete with both games than to only get one of them, that way at least my rewards certificate wouldn't have been wasted...

I`m using Open Directory, its been working fine for 2 months. But now all of a sudden this very annoying error keeps repeating itself.
It started happen about a week ago,and after a reboot of the server it was working fine, until now. Now the accounts is gone after 1h or so uptime, and after restart all accounts is there, but soon to be disapeared again. Anyone have any suggestion what to look for? And why did it happen in the first place?
For now theres only one user at the office so he uses my admin account (Local user on the server) to connect to shares etc. But in less then a week there will be much more people at the office, so i will need to sort this out ASAP. Problem with Java and Windows (Mainly Vista and UAC)
Hi all,
I am having a problem with a program that I've devoloped. The program itself is packaged as a jar and I plan to deploy it across multiple platforms eventually however right now i am only concerned about windows based systems. I have made an installer for a windows baised systems using NSIS to install the software files. I made the installer as I need several java packages to be installed so the program would work (JAI, J3D, JAI ImageIO) and I also require the program to have fileassociations on windows.
I know that this is not what java is about, however the majority of the users will be on windows baised systems so I've decided that OS specific installers is the best option.
During the process I have noticed that there are several key problem with java for this type of application!
The first issue that I have come across is getting file associations to work on java. As a .jar is not an excutable it is not possible to directly associate a filetype with it in java so to overcome this I currently run the program from a .bat files and also the program requires large memory so this also allows me to run the program with -xmx. The batch file that I use is :

Ok so all this appears to work fine and allows windows to have file associations and start the program and thats all works perfectly but this is a non-ideal solution. Has anyone got any advice on improving this?
The next problem that I have appears to be a problem with Vista and UAC (user access control). When a user installs the program and installs the program into the program files directory I found that the program did not work and kept saying that I did not have access to the files in the current directory. This is a problem as I read and write settings files during program execution.
On a Vista system UAC prevents file write operations into the Program Files directory unless the program has requested elevated status even if the user is a full administrator. The probem is that there appears to be no real way to achieve this under java that I'm aware of...
Has anyone else had this probem and has a suitable solution?
Any advice on these issues would realy be appricated.

This program allows you start java with a UAC dialog for high access using
