Working with the MS Word iPad and other office apps: Onscreen keyboard will not minimize

With Microsoft's announcement today of allowing limited editing capabilities in their mobile apps, I installed the updates on my iPad. So far, everything works great...with one exception: The onboard keyboard will not get out of the way...won't
minimize.
I have last year's iPad Air and was trying to use my Bluetooth keyboard with each of the MS Office IOS apps. Consistently, across all of these apps, the keyboard would stay on the screen and the key for minimizing the keyboard had no affect, even though
my Bluetooth keyboard was linked and working. Any other app I use automatically removes the onscreen keyboard when the Bluetooth keyboard is detected.
This does make the applications difficult and not much fun to use.
Any thoughts? Anybody else notice the same issue?
My office has begun deploying Office 2013/365 and I know we'll have some users on iPads and other tablets, so I'm real interested in correcting this if at all possible.

Why does TC sometimes display the airdisk icon and other times not

I've been trying to figure out why the connection speed of the TC can be so inconsistent, but one thing I've noticed is that the icon on my desktop of the TC is also inconsistent. Sometimes its the Airdisk icon (ie airport waves) and other times the Shared disk icon (ie people holding hands).
Anyone know what's up with that?

Pinwheel usually comes it waiting for something, usually hard drives cause this but you don't have one, it's a SSD.
If it occurs on another network, then you likely have a hardware problem of some sort.
Take it in to Apple.

Lock screen and keyboard sounds have quit working. The settings are correct and the device is not muted. What else can I do to get the sounds working again?

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB memory running OS X Version 10.7.2 and it breaks. Frequently, it lapses into a screen of chess squares with vague lines over the dim background of what was there before. From there, nothing works but the off button.
I wait patiently for a software upgrade to make it all go away, but I envy my wife beside me who never jumped into the Lion's den and now goes sailing along, carefree as you please. Wish I had done restrained my newer-better-faster impulse.

Try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have been experiencing connection issues with loading web pages. It's as if the web pages do not want to load all the way and some times not at all. This has happen with all three of my computers with the same browsers.

There are times when web pages do not want to load fully and other times not at all. They just continue to open up with a blank screen. My routers light flash during this process and then they stop as if no connection is being made. I do know for sure it is not my ISP or internet explorer browser.

I continue to have this problem and have tried all recommendations so far...I notice also when I click on a web site on the taps side of browser once it starts loading however it does not connect, web site comes up just blank while it continues to search. The same thing happens while in an email program with clicking in the email link and page pops up and continues to search for the web site. You have to reload over and over again until it finally locates it and then opens. Should I uninstall the Firefox browser and install again.....?

As I said, I don't use Time Machine, so it'd be best to wait for an "expert" answer, but, with my very limited knowledge, I'd say: probably not - so, for now, I'd suggest you read up on Time Machine:
